WHITE HOT SAUCE VIP

This stuff is very flavourful. I've tried it on mozzarella sticks, a mushroom omelette and a white cheddar grilled cheese. It's fantastic. This might be a regional thing for Amazon, but I ordered this one and the winter Truff on separate days. Neither one of them came in the fancy box you see in the ad. The bottles were just wrapped up in bubble wrap and in an Amazon envelope. A box would be nice for gifting..

Very flavorful sauce that’s has a great, non-overpowering heat. It’s on the milder side of the other flavors. Use it on any food that you want to spice up. It’s also my go to gift idea if I don’t know what to get someone. Hasn’t let me down yet. Love it and the others flavors!

I will be frank from the get-go and say that I do not love super-spicy foods, but I have a decent tolerance. I prefer spice to be an element of my meal, rather than an overriding quality. For me, this is the IDEAL hot sauce - spicy, sweet, salt, umami, NOT vinegary. It's a great quirky host(ess) gift to bring to a dinner instead of wine, too, because of the beautiful packaging. If you already know TRUFF hot sauces, this is extremely similar. Compared to the black sauce, I think it has more complexity of flavor with a better balance between the taste elements. To me, the truffle is a little more defined (but mellow, because it's white truffle), it's a tad sweeter, and the spice is slightly less. It's the least hot of the three options, and I find that it doesn't overpower more subtle dishes. It is my favorite of the TRUFF hot sauces and worth a few extra bucks as an occasional indulgence over the others. If you don't already know TRUFF, but you're a fan of truffles, you're probably going to love this. It's not so much about upping the spice as it is upping the flavor. Yes, it tastes kind of earthy-funky - it's made with truffles. It takes basic foods like eggs and hash-browns to a gourmet level, and it justifies the occasional theft of your kids' chicken nuggets. Having said that, if you want to start somewhere with TRUFF, I'd probably go with their standard black or red. You'll discover whether or not you like the "family" without spending the extra cash. I think the black and red (hotter) are pretty much identical except for spice levels, so go with whichever level is better for you. How great are TRUFF sauces? My husband and I were gifted the black sauce at Christmas (unlike me, my husband and the gift giver are both the "do the hot-wings challenge then lick the plate" hot-sauce fans). We had finished the bottle by early February, and we BOTH unknowingly bought sets for each other for Valentine's Day - that's how much we both love them!
