I was a little skittish about getting this, but it works GREAT!!! It doesn't cost much. It sharpens really sharp with a nice sharp point. It sharpens really quick. You have 3 settings for how you want your lead point. It does however runs on batteries. It does have an USB where you can plug in but I think it goes a little slower on sharpening. I would definitely recommend this product.

The sharpener its self does a great job, makes darts for tips! Perfect for using doing finished carpentry. The machines maybe a defect. Plug doesnt plug all the way . And works when it wants to. Returned it. We'll see if the next one works betterUpdate:! 10 minutes after I wrote this, I submitted my exchange request, and replacements being sent, should get tomorrow. Bumped my rating from 3 to 5. Great customer service

I saw all the positive reviews but I've owned TWO of this same model and both had the same defects. The first model I received stopped working after a single pencil - the rotating blade just wouldn't spin at all. I received a free replacement and have had a 10% success rate with the replacement. 1/10 pencils will trigger the motor and spinning blade but any other pencils are out of luck. After that first one, it either stops working altogether or stutters along slower than a handheld sharpener. Maybe I've just had the worst luck with this model?

This works well enough. I wish it had a regular electric plug instead of a USB plug. The battery option is nice to have.

I was looking for an electric pencil sharpener for my Prismacolor and other pencils in general that would produce a fine, consistent point. The official Prismacolor sharpener does a good job, but I felt like I wanted something faster and more precise. Then I came across with this Amazon basics pencil sharpener. Using it is very satisfying, you simply insert the pencil holding it firmly and it yields a perfect point. I don't notice a huge difference between the various point thickness settings, though there is a noticeable slight variation. it's included a usb cable for power but I love that it also can run on four AA batteries; I simply popped in some rechargeable Eneloop batteries and it works great without any cables getting in the way. Great purchase.

I didn't expect an electric pencil sharpener to be a source of nostalgia, but this sharpener evoked memories of standing in line in elementary school waiting for the electric pencil sharpener. This sharpener is modern and professional looking, and the ability to use the USB charger or on the internal battery frees up where you can keep it. My sketch pencil had a perfect point from new within just a few seconds. The shavings bin will easily hold enough for several sharpenings between emptying. The lid also secures very well with tabs on both sides that must be pressed to release, so you won't be fighting graphite dust everywhere if you accidentally tip it over. A thoughtfully built design for sure.

Très satisfait de ce taille-crayon électrique portable Amazon Basics. Il taille les crayons rapidement et avec précision, sans casser la mine. Même mon enfant de 2 anq l'utilise efficacepent. J'apprécie particulièrement qu'il permette d'obtenir trois types de pointes (fine, moyenne ou plus épaisse), ce qui est très pratique selon l'utilisation. Son format compact le rend facile à transporter et il est simple à utiliser. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, je le recommande.

ok so i've been using this amazon basics electric pencil sharpener for a bit now and i gotta say i'm pretty impressed. like it's one of those things you don't think you need until you have it and then you're like wait this is actually genius.first off the auto-stop feature is such a game changer. you know how with regular sharpeners you keep going and suddenly your pencil tip is completely gone? yeah this one just stops automatically when it's perfectly sharpened. saves so much pencil and honestly it's just satisfying to watch. and the best part? no jams so far which is usually my biggest fear with electric sharpeners. it just glides through smoothly every time.speed wise it's quick too - like pop the pencil in and a few seconds later you're done. no grinding noises or struggling. just fast and efficient. the fact that it's portable is another huge plus cause you can either plug it in with the usb cord or run it on batteries. so if you're moving it around your desk or even taking it somewhere else, you're not tied to one spot.oh and can we talk about the 2 year warranty? amazon basics really came through with that. makes me feel way more confident about the purchase cause if anything goes wrong they got me covered. honestly for the price it's a no-brainer.if you're someone who uses pencils regularly for work, art, school, whatever this thing will make your life easier. compact, reliable, and does exactly what it says on the box. genuinely happy with this one. Il fonctionne très bien, le moteur est plus puissant que ce à quoi je m’attendais, et il taille les crayons de façon nette et régulière. C’est bien plus rapide et précis que les taille-crayons manuels que nous utilisions avant.La boîte à copeaux est grande, donc pas besoin de la vider tout le temps. On peut l’alimenter avec des piles ou par câble USB, ce qui est pratique pour le bureau ou la maison. Le bruit reste raisonnable, et le taille-crayon s’arrête automatiquement quand le crayon est bien affûté — un bon point pour les enfants.Franchement, pour le prix, c’est une excellente petite machine. Ma fille l’adore et moi aussi. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, je recommande sans hésiter.
