Crimper works great, Clearly a quality product.
Crimper works great, Clearly a quality product. I had issues with delivery but I believe that was nothing to do with the product or seller, that being said the delivery for a replacement was prompt

Getting older and finding work to be harder on your hands?
I have been wanting one of these for a very long time. I finally decided to put down the money and get one and trust me, you already know without even using one that it's so much faster than crimping by hand. Well worth the money spent. They work a little better once they start to break in. In the beginning it almost over crimps but I'm not complaining. It's fantastic especially if you have arthritis or hands that are over 45 years old LOL.

Working good, but no long . Used 3 days for crimping 30 GA pipes 10", 8" and 6" . Used with dewalt impact driver . I need it to work right now, but it's broken. Now need replacement drive shift and wait then it comes. if this repeats, I will constantly look for a replacement from another manufacturer or buy another model .every 3 days to buy new replacement drive shift too expensive.

On the pricey side but faster than hand crimping
I was skeptical about buying this because it's not cheap. Hand crimpers are a lot cheaper. But I'm very impressed at how it crimps. It's noisy and you can only use it with a impact. I tried using it with my regular drill and it twisted the pipe and cut my arm so do not use anything but an impact it even has a warning label. But if you're crimping lots of pipe there's no competing with a hand crimper at how fast you can use this. Definitely worth the money if you are made of it.

Saves your forearms
This is much faster than hand crimping, and far easier on your hands and forearms. I can crimp a 10" duct in about 10 seconds, while it's already mounted. Because this goes on the end of your impact, it can spin 360 to modify duct that's already in the air, as long as you've got 2+ inches all of the way around. Just don't go over a seam, it says so right in the instructions. It takes a few tries to learn the best way to get it fully engaged on the pipe, I just go forward a couple of clicks, then reverse back to the starting point, and it's ready to go. I am using it with a Milwaukee M12 Surge impact, so it's noise level isn't too bad. With a standard impact, it will likely be quite loud, especially when amplified by uninsulated ducting

Do not attempt to crimp through/over a spiral seam. *Some overlapping, light gauge, spot welded seams can be gone over.
I work in the heavy commercial and industrial fields of HVAC dry side (duct work and related equipment). As I have gotten older my hand grip is not what it used to be and crimpers often take a tole on my wrist pain towards the end of a long day. I have not used my hand crimpers since I got this puppy! Check that, only on heavy gauge metal like that from a square to round, 18/20 gauge have I been forced to use my hand crimpers. These are very fast and work in both directions! Honestly these things work so good that they can over crimp at times, so keep that in mind when setting your screw making up a seam. Very happy I got these.

Prepare to fix it and here is how.
The shaft that breaks is actually a nut driver. #1 I tried to grind down a nut driver to the size of hole but it broke again. I drilled out the hole and did some filing to snuggly fit a new nut driver and used JB weld to hold it on. Let it sit overnight to fully cure. It has been quite awhile and hasn't broken yet. If you don't want to do this, Don't Buy It.

Better than hand crimpers
I’m a union sheet metal worker, and this thing is awesome. A bit of a learning curve l, but once you get the hang of it there’s no turning back. This thing has some weight to it which surprised me at first, but after using it I understand why. I’ve been looking at buying this for about a year, finally pulled the trigger and I’m glad I did. 5 secs is all it takes to crimp a pipe and it’s a close to a factory edge. I stop before the seam afraid to blast through it, though I’m sure it will handle it. Im very happy have to wait to see how long the shank lasts.

A must depending what part of Hvac feels you are in. Works better on light commercial (26GA or thicker) I do residential and it can be a little too much for 30ga but does still crimp the hell out of it! Definitely a time saver. As far as quality for the most part it is a hardy part but the part that goes in impact chuck snapped early on and had to get replacement part from Amazon since then no issues for weekly use over a year.

Order 250 4" & 5" Ys and we needed them crimped because they were ordered wrong. Bought this and wow did this save a ton of time and our forearms. For the time it would take to manually crimp 1 Y, we crimped 10 Ys. Definitely worth it. Be sure to wear ear plugs with it

The chuck broke on the 2nd day be careful buying this tool , i just wasted $270 . I’ve always liked malco and never had any issues but this turbo crimper is straight garbage .

Only tried once, so far. Works fine. Don’t really like that you can’t open up to get on and off they pipe. Nor can you adjust the depth of crimp. But this one shouldn’t break like the cast aluminum Malco version.
