The vise is opened and closed with a traditional outer jaw screw mechanism with a sliding handle. The jaws of the PanaVise 303 standard head open up to 2-1/4" (57.1 mm), with the inner edges of the jaws covered by nylon jaw pads (included). The jaw pads measure 2-1/2" (63.5 mm) (w) x 1/2" (12.6 mm) (h).
