The band's third album includes the hits "Big Bang Baby" and "Lady Picture Show." * 1997 and 1998 saw the Pilots involved in various extracurricular activities: Talk Show, a project that includes Dean and Robert; and Scott released his solo album 12 Bar Blues. * October 1999 saw the release of No. 4, which yielded the hits "Down" and "Sour Girl." Shangri-La Dee Da followed in 2001. * RIAA certifications include: Core 7x-platinum; Purple 5x-platinum; Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop 2x-platinum; No. 4 1x-platinum. Other honors for the band over the years include a Grammy for "Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal" for "Plush," two American Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award, two Billboard Video Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award.
