Impressive Digital Microscope!
Full disclosure, I've only had this item for a couple hours, but I already am very impressed! I'm new to 3d printing and I'm struggling to get all the little maintenence items for just working on printed projects (debur tools, x-acto blades, loupes, calipers etc). I struggled with some of this (again, new to printing, not really sure what I do and don't want just yet), but of all the printer-y-things to arrive so far, this one is my absolute favorite! My experience was painless. I pluged it into my PC, opened up a USB camera application (in my case the built in windows camera application) and BOOM - instant success. The URL for the site on the instruction manual actually worked, and took me to a place I could actually download software, with actual instructions on how to do it (if I wanted to - for example windows camera tool doesn't provide proper measuring tools, so if you want accurate measurements from the digital view, you'll want to download one of these apps - after watching a YT video I'm confident I could put one in play with ease, but didn't see the need just yet! Still, good to know the apps are there and there's a few downloadable software options available! In addition to this microscope, I also tried some different "classic" style loupes. I didn't know what to expect as I've never used a loupe prior to this. My eyes could barely see through the lenses! Additionally the loupe LEDs were either blinding on them or downright didn't do their job (one of them was very finicky and won't stay on without tapping the LED itself to get it "just right" and it'll remain on for at least a little bit). but when it comes to honing in on "what the hell actually happened" with a 3d print, This guy is going to be a lifesaver! It's rare I leave a review, especially for a product I havent' had in my hands for that long... so I may revist and update this review at at later date, but for today, right now, this thing is awesome value and I'd reccomend picking one up if you were "on the fence". I'd read that "99% of them are the same thing with the same low quality image sensors" and looking aroud, I saw that to be pretty true. In forums I found posts with really crappy quality images from some of the other digital microscopes, so when I finally found one that appeared to use a different sensor (4k, different body form-factor, etc) and had some decent reviews... I figured it was worth a try. I haven't used the other microscopes, so I can't attest to them, but I'd wager if you are looking and ended up here - This is probably the product you are looking for! I included a couple images showing what one of my failed prints looks like from the perspective of a post-it note via cell-phone, versus through the lens of the microscope. It's actually crazy how well it does the job. The "way zoomed" picture is actually just the first zoomed picture, but cropped just to what I could fit on my screen at 100% when viewed in a browser. Little bugger does a good job!

The scope is very good, the stand is hot garbage - buy another stand!
The scope itself is very nice - the 4K gives it a big and noticeable advantage over 1K USB scopes. The light is nice and even, the zoom works as expected for this - which might not be as expected to people new at this. Basically, the distance the lens is away from the subject dictates the zoom. You use the rotating collar to set the zoom level, but it's only in focus at a specific distance, so if you want to adjust the zoom you want to move it in and out. And you HAVE to have the scope held still, because your hand shaking as you hold it will mess up the focus. Which is why the stand here is a problem. It has to be stable to be useful. The one that comes with the scope comes with a base with a sticky bottom, which does stick fairly well. Then the stand itself sticks into the base, except... the stand wasn't screwed into the base so it flops around. I had to peel off the sticky base, unscrew the solid base, and sure enough there was a nut rattling around in there I had to screw the stand back into then put everything back together. Typical cheapo manufacturing. So now I tried to mount the scope on the stand, and... the holder is just a half circle of plastic (which you can see in the photo) which does not grip the scope well anywhere. For max zoom range, you want it near the bottom, but it doesn't hold at all there, so you can kind of put it on the zoom wheel, which is extremely bad because now the image rotates as you focus and buttons and dials aren't in predictable places. And it's still not high enough. Oops, and while I was typing this the scope just fell out again and landed on my circuit. Besides that, the stand arm is held steady by friction from a screw, and if you loosen this more than a turn so you can move it a bit... it explodes into five pieces. Which you can put back together, but very annoying and the useful range of the stand just cripples the scope. So basically, if you buy this scope, you will want to also buy another $18 stand which will actually grip the scope well and give it a good range. You could try to salvage this stand by putting double sided sticky foam in the C clamp, but you're just polishing a [stinky thing].

Seeing tiny things
This digital microscope is portable and fully self-contained. It charges with a USB-C cable, taking a little over 2 hours for a full charge. The LED lights circling the lens is adequate for properly illuminating the subject. The resolution is impressive, a true 4K image. It works on smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. For phones and tablets, it connects via wifi, on computers via a USB-C cable. There is software available for download for Macs, Windows, iOS, Android, and more, each offering a slightly different mode of operation. The download is recommended over any native software, as it offers extra capabilities specifically for the microscope. The zoom buttons works on phones and tablets, on computers, zoom operates by selecting the resolution. Mechanical zoom is operated by rotating the band on the body. Handheld is the easiest mode, using the clear focus guide to define the image plane. The included stand will hold the scope in place for imaging, but it's a little difficult to precisely adjust the positioning, and the grip on the scope is not the most secure. The dust cap should be kept on the microscope when not in use to reduce dust accumulating on the lens.

Astoundingly good digital microscope for the price
This is my second Bysameyee digital microscope- my first was the earlier model with a native camera resolution of 640x480 but somehow managed to pull off a great picture with its optics - this second unit boasts a native 4k resolution with the same 1000x zoom optic. As an added bonus, the 4k model also has a built-in Wi-Fi capability and can run wirelessly with an internal Lithium ion rechargeable battery. Because of this I’m now able to use my iPhone on the fly as a display which ended up being really useful and convenient. The included manual provides a QR code for both iOS and android that will take you to a bare-bones microscope viewer app ambiguously called ‘Wi-Fi-check’ - it gets the job done with minimal fuss by allowing you to point your phone’s Wi-Fi to the microscope which shows up like a private Wi-Fi hotspot device or access point. From there you can select your camera resolution up to 4k and go to work - Easy! Worked great on my kids geode collection. For my garage lab I’ve got an older Dell laptop running Linux and was able to install the ‘Camorama’ video app from the AUR repos without issue. It found the microscope picked up on the supported resolutions up to 4k without any extra configuration and was ready to go pretty quick. I did try this 4k model on my humble Raspberry Pi 2 but the higher resolution was a bit too much for it, so I’ll be keeping the earlier model microscope for that configuration. I also tried out the 4k model on my elderly MacBook Pro 2010 but had to scale the resolution down to 2k for the image to display properly- this wasn’t too surprising given the age of the laptop - 2k was actually quite usable. Bottom line the higher resolution camera on this microscope will require somewhat modern computer hardware to display at it's fullest capability. Usability-wise this 4k unit was fairly straightforward and easy use. The only quirk that took some experimentation to figure out was that because the power button doubles as the snapshot button, to turn the microscope off, you have to press the ‘power’ and ‘zoom +’ buttons simultaneously. Not really an issue once you know that bit. Oh and don’t forget to take the lens cap off prior to use! Given this 4k microscope goes for about as much as the earlier model and is packed with extra features, it’s an absolute bargain and a must-have tool for any hobbyist or repair tech.

Company Doesn't Care About Their Customers
The product works great, didn't have much trouble getting Windows 11 to recognize it. It doesn't seem to have a zoom function, and that's okay as I found that the front clear ring can be gently removed, providing even less distance to what I needed to see. Everything about the product is fine. What isn't fine is that I sent a request to the seller, as suggested, for a free upgraded stand. I was asked about my order number, which I provided. That was April 3. As of 6/17/23 there has been no communication from the seller. I have forwarded the conversation to them once or twice with kind words asking for an update. Caveat emptor. Should they choose to respond I will reassess my rating. EDIT: Downgrading my rating to a single star. No Amazon seller should ignore a customer's inquiry. Period. 7/19/23: I received email from the bygift email address bygift@outlook.com on 7/9, with a mild apology and again asking for my order number, which I provided. The next email requested my mailing address. Their email stated, "...I am sorry we didn't serve you well months ago, but we did need your order# to verify it...we did't [sic] receive your answer." I provided my mailing address and also sent a screen shot of the previous attempts to contact them, all of which included the order number and address. I sent this info to them not to be rude, but to suggest that I had been following their instructions all along and that it clearly had been missed. As of today, however, communication has stopped again. There was no shipping confirmation, no thanks, no nothing. Just silence again. 12/17/2023: Still no communication. Bysameyee just do the right thing. Stop dropping the ball on a simple transaction. 你可以做得更好

it has a very nice picture but the mount is very loose and wont tighten up correctly which makes getting a view of what youre looking at very difficult.

5/5, my toothbrush and I are no longer on speaking terms.
Have you ever gazed into the abyss of your bathroom sink and thought: What tiny civilizations are thriving down there? Well, with the Bysameyee 4K Microscope, I no longer have to wonder—I have become their reluctant god. • Crystal-clear chaos: At 3840x2160P and 8 megapixels, this thing reveals everything. I started with a coin. Now I’m on first-name terms with the dust mites in my carpet. One of them winked at me. I think. • Photos & videos: With a tap on my phone, I can immortalize these discoveries in glorious HD. My camera roll is now 70% magnified beetle antennae and one unfortunate close-up of my scalp (which I can never unsee). • Portable wonder machine: It fits in my pocket, so I’ve taken it outside to examine leaves, bark, and one suspiciously smug-looking aphid. My neighbors think I’ve joined a nature cult. In a way, I have. • Lighting crew included: The 8 LEDs turn even the shadiest speck of lint into a Broadway star. Adjustable brightness means I can interrogate a grain of rice like it’s under a police spotlight. • Compatibility galore: iOS, Android, Mac, Windows—even Linux. Basically, if it has a screen, it can now broadcast the shocking truth about your kitchen sponge. After about four hours of rechargeable exploration, I usually need to sit down and reconsider everything I know about the visible world. Teachers, students, hobbyists—sure. But honestly? This microscope is for anyone who enjoys the thrill of saying “WHAT IS THAT?!” every five minutes. In short: If you want to feel like Jacques Cousteau, Darwin, and David Attenborough all at once—without leaving your couch—this is the gadget. Proceed with curiosity (and maybe a stiff drink for when you zoom in on your own skin).

Good for extreme close up soldering, use the Xploview software for Mac to see the image correctly.
I have now had some more time to work with this 4k microscope, it's not perfect, but it suits my needs for extreme close up soldering work on an amplifier circuit board. I looked around extensively for an overhead magnifying glass with an LED light, I found many listed here on Amazon, but nothing seemed to quite fit my need. I just could not visually get in close enough to see clearly if I was soldering each component correctly. I previously had a digital microscope that was similar to this unit I purchased a few years ago to look at coins. The end result was not what I hoped for, the resolution and detail was just not there. It is however with this camera! The GOOD stuff. This camera microscope has a resolution of 4k (3820x2160) plus it's wireless, the instructions say once fully charged it will run about 4 hours. What's really nice is that it runs on wifi, instead of Bluetooth. There's no lag as you view your image. The LED light brightness and the focusing are adjustable. If you have an iPad or iPhone, download the app, turn on the camera, select the HD-Microscope-8c06 wifi signal, start the app and you should see an image in the software. Bring it close to the area you want to see, adjust the focus and the light and it works. You can even take a picture and record video if you like, nice. On a MAC, you connect the camera microscope via the micro USB cord to your computer. You view the image by using the Photo Booth software included with the operating system on a MAC, or as I discovered you can use Zoom, just select the HD camera in the video setting. The nice thing about this is if you have a IMAC or large external monitor, you can see the image produced on a large screen! Now the BAD stuff. *When I initially looked at the image on a Mac or an iPad, the image is backwards in Photobooth! It's really annoying!!! (I had to horizontally flip the circuit board images and the penny coin to see it correctly). They need to fix this somehow. I've also found that as you move the camera microscope around to view image you want to see, it's very counter intuitive. It doesn't do what you expect. You have to play with it a bit to see what you want to see, again it's a frustrating. The U shaped plastic holder piece does not hold the camera microscope very firmly in place, it has two thin plastic snaps that line up with the 2 grooves on the camera microscope unit. When you move the camera around on it's flimsy base, you tighten the wing nut on the base, unfortunately it still does not stay in place that well. Under the holder is a thin rubber piece that is practically useless. I modified this with a piece of thick foam rubber that I set the unit on, much better! The power button is a bit flimsy as well. As far as the magnification goes and the clarity and brightness of the image, for what it is it's pretty good. I looked around and could not find another 4k camera microscope unit in this price range that does what this unit does without spending significantly more. For what I'm using it for, it works. It lets me see what I need to see clearly and check my work as I go. *I have been in contact with the manufacturer, they told me to download Xploview for Mac. Once I did this the image appeared correctly and not backwards! The software also allows you to set the video to 4k resolution and also allows you to record hi-res photos and video. This was much better. I did this (I've posted some new images) I'm much happier and can see my soldering work more closely. I'm not the best at soldering, but at least I know everything looks correct. I still don't love their U shaped stand that's included, but they've sent me the Metal Microscope Stand and Carrying Case to use. After taking it out of it's soft leather case, it's made of solid metal, includes a hex key for adjustments and made well. Looking forward to trying it out! I'm upping my rating on this microscope by one star. If they would replace the U shaped stand that comes with this microscope unit, or make it stronger and more durable, then I'd give it a 5 star rating.

Pretty Good for A Low-Priced Unit
Recieved unit today, so this is initial review immediately after setup. As already mentioned in other reviews, the stand that comes with the unit is passable, not great. It does come with a silicon "sticky" base so if you have a relatively smooth surface to stick it to (glossy table top / glass table top) it sorta works, but is therefore pretty limited functionality However, the Camera itself works pretty well : - Wifi Connection (ios) using the Wifi Check app Works well right out of the box with the app; Can be used while charging as well. Downside is that since it uses WiFi connection and not bluetooth, you won't be able to access the internet while using the camera. - On Windows PC Xplodeview and AMCAP (that was listed on the manufacturer website) worked pretty well. However I couldn't get CoolTech Measuring tool to work. Good resolution and easy to use overall, instructions on manufacturer website pretty helpful. The true magnification of the camera is probably closer to maybe 300X (or 400?X) rather than 1000X, but is way more than sufficient for my purpose

£39 for this 4k version
Paid £39 for this 4k version specifically to zoom in on a damaged chip on a laptop. See pictures of it in use via usb to my PC and the windows camera app.. Certainly does the job for me very well and displays on my 2k screen brilliantly. The focus wheel is very smooth and easy to adjust. I took pictures of my screen and the scope in action with my not so good phone. The stand wasn't great for my use case but a quick trip to Bysameyee.com and a decent stand for as review. Well you can see from my pics its very good indeed for what I wanted it for. Hard to beat the image quality at this price and definitely better than the 1080p versions I see everywhere. Hooked it up via WiFi to my Lenovo M10 Android tablet no problem at all...specifically using the "WiFi Check" app from Play Store, as per the instruction book. The app is very basic but puts a very clear image on the tablet and that's all I asked of it. No complaints for the cost of it.

Great microscope for the price
I was pleasantly surprised by how capable this little microscope is. Despite its compact size, it produces clear and detailed images. I tested it on a freshly plucked eyelash and could easily make out individual cells, which is remarkable for a device in this price range. The built in light does more than just brighten the view. It brings out fine textures that are hard to see with basic illumination. Connecting it to a computer adds even more value. Once the image appears on a monitor, you can zoom in as far as your screen can reasonably support. This makes it useful for close inspection of small parts, fibers, leaves, circuits and anything else that needs a magnified look. The device feels like a great entry point for beginners, kids or anyone who wants to explore tiny details without spending a lot of money. It is simple to set up, easy to use and delivers results that make the microscopic world feel inviting rather than intimidating. For a starter microscope, it performs far better than expected and has enough capability to keep you exploring for a long time.
