HyperX PBT Keycaps – Full Key Set, Double Shot PBT Material, English (US) Layout, 104 Keys – Pink

I put these on a 1.5 year old HyperX Alloy Origins Core because the original cheap ABS caps started disintegrating on me. These don't even compare to the originals. I write code, I game. These are excellent. Textured surface vs the shiny slippery ABS ones, very sturdy feeling, perfect fit. I added rubbers (look for 120Pcs Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners for Cherry MX), quiet and soft. Only possible drawback I can see for some is they are less bright, but for me, that's another plus.

Relatively inexpensive keycaps that are well worth the money. The white makes all of the RGB come through beautifully. Easy to install and comfortable to use. Very good quality.

This review is for the regular white PBT keycaps (not pudding) purchased on 8/29/2023. I have north-facing lights on my KEMOVE Snowfox DK61 (old version), a 60% keeb. I have all the keycaps I need, in the size that I need. The lights come out super well. I was replacing the stock Snowfox PBT keycaps because of shine from 4 years of daily use. (student, lots of typing) From the product photos, I wasn't a fan of the Hyper-X gamer-like font, but with lights on, it's hardly noticeable. It looks like more of a block-y kind of print if that makes sense. The spacebar from my Hyper-X white PBT (not pudding) keycap set has a line, not the Hyper-X logo. The keycaps have a large grainy-texture. Rather they are like small, diffuse pits/holes in the surface. Your fingertips can feel the keycaps are not smooth. They do not feel bumpy. I think I prefer tiny bumps grain (not sure terminology), but these do not feel bad. The only drawbacks I've noticed from 2 days of use are: 1) HyperX PBT keycaps are slightly thin. This may be why light comes through so well. They are thinner than the stock Snowfox PBT keycaps. 2) They were a little tight/difficult to put on my keeb. I had to use force to push some keycaps all the way down. 3) They make my keyboard sound slightly more "clacky" than when I had my stock keycaps. For reference I use lubed AJAZZ banana switches and have my keyboard on a desk mat. Overall for the sale price it's a bargain for textured PBT keycaps. I ordered another PBT set in black for my work keyboard. Photo attached is taken in normal daylight indoors to show texture. Keeb RGB light setting wasn't even all the way up. Light comes through reallly well. BUUUT the sound is slightly clacky.

This fit my HyperX keyboard just fine, the keys do feel better than the ABS keycaps my keyboard had out of of the box. However, I had to turn up the RGB brightness from around 30% to 100% to match the same amount of brightness on the lettering. I do not have previous experience with PBT keycaps so... this could be typical. It's not a huge deal for me, but it might be for others.

SO I got these keys because the OG ones that came with my keyboard just were flimsy and just kept snapping, these are actually better made. I highly recommend these to anyone. yeah you dont get the same glow effect as the OG keys. but heck its better than them breaking like mad all the time. Stronger and thicker plastic.

Unfortunately, my set did not come complete, I don't have a D key and a + key, very disappointed. Otherwise the quality of the keycaps is apparent.

They have a good grainy texture. I like that a lot I know some gamers don’t like that, but I play fast paced PVP games and it really helps. I wish keyboards came from the manufacturer with keys like this only one I’ve ever seen was the Huntsman V3. Picture is steel series v3. The black half is the hyperX.

Coming from the abs caps on the core tkl these are so much better. Grippy, thicker and better sound. Easy install with included puller. My fingers stay better in place when gaming. No more greasy leftover marks that appeared on the abs caps. Only thing I don't like and all the positives make up for is the rgb shine through is weaker but expected do to it being double shot pbt.

Worked almost perfectly for my use case. U get the whole set of keys and it allows light to pass through. I bought this key set to swap the keycaps of my Kreo Swarm 98 as it didn't had the light pass through in stock key caps. The right shift,ctrl,alt keys couldn't fit on my KREO SWARM 98

Those aren't black keycaps and they didn't even stand near black..

Het liefst 3,5 sterren, maar kan niet. Kwaliteit is top, kleur is niet zwart maar grijs en rbg licht doorlating is niet goed. Goede kwaliteit keycaps. Vind de type ervaring helemaal top! Alleen vind de kleur heel jammer…. Zoals andere ook al hebben vermeld, het is grijs i.p.v. zwart. Op de foto is een goed contrast te zien tussen mijn vorige ABS Corsair keycaps (links) en de HyperX PBT keycaps links. Daarnaast vind ik de licht doorlating voor de RGB gewoon slecht. Het is een echt gedimd licht, je kunt het opzich prima zien, dus als je dat echt als prioriteit hebt zou ik deze niet halen. Voor de rest prima voor het geld (heb retour deal gehaald) en ik kan er prima mee overweg en vind de kleur niet storend omdat ik er niet naar kijk als ik typ. Maar ga wel over een tijd opzoek naar andere omdat deze niet zijn wat ik wil..

Habe die Caps vor ca. einem halben Jahr für 25€ für meine HyperX Alloy FPS Pro gekauft da immer mehr von den normalen ABS Caps gebrochen sind, und bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Wer competitive spielt oder mehr Wert auf Funktionalität als Optik legt, ist hier gut bedient. Habe sie aus dem Grund auch Pudding Caps vorgezogen. Sie dämmen die LEDs der Tastatur ein wenig, sind dafür aber robust, haben eine leicht angeraute Oberfläche und dadurch besseren Grip, werden nicht so schnell fettig und haben bisher auch noch keine Abnutzungserscheinungen wie sie meine alten Caps durch intensive Nutzung oder Reinigen hatten (WASD z.B.). Empfohlen!
