Pretty good book light...I use it for sony e-reader
I bought this book light for use with my sony ereader, so I could read in bed without disturbing my wife (who sleeps a lot more than I do). I'm pretty pleased with this light. It is pretty inexpensive and lightweight. It clips to the e-reader without obscuring the text, the head is flexible so you can move it all around, and the brightness is about right for my application. The clip has a soft foam on it that keeps it from marring your ereader. The biggest issue with these types of lights on an ereader is positioning the light somewhere where you won't get any reflection back into your eyes. The head maneuvers all over the place so you can position it almost anywhere you want, but I find that if you push it way to the side so there's no reflection, then the light almost shines in your eyes. I feel that on this light the problem is acceptable, though. It will happen with any book light, but most book lights don't have the flexible neck that allows you to move it around. Downsides: 1. The LED light, like others, is kind of a sickly pale white. I think all LED lights have this in common. This one is not particularly bad. 2. The head is a little large, so if you put it over the text, it is probably more likely to obscure your view than other lights would. I actually ended up buying a bedside lamp with a 7.5 watt incandescent bulb, a an opaque diffuser (so it's like a spotlight) and a flexible neck. I put it next to my bed and shine it down on me when I read. I find the quality of the light a little more appealing. I don't actually find anything wrong with this book light, though, and would use it if traveling, on a plane, or out camping.

LightWedge Flex Neck for use with Kindle
I purchased this item in Feb. 2012, for my wife to use with her Kindle at night so I could catch some shut eye without the room light on. The clip is sturdy and easily clips to her kindle case. The on/off button is big and easy to use. I've noticed the light seems to be slightly dimmer than when I first purchased but it's seen a lot of use and probably needs new batteries. I had to put a small piece of electrical tape around the bottom edge where the lens starts as the light would refract through there and cause an annoying shine on me when I was trying to sleep. Also, when I've used the light, I sometimes found it hard to get it in a good position so it doesn't create a glare on the kindle screen. The glare is never bad just a minor annoyance. With all that said, I would say this is fairly good light and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Especially with the price (I paid $8.75).

Very good reading light when the power goes out.
We have occasional power outages, especially during thunderstorms. Our oil lamps are fine for non-electric light, but can really heat up an already too hot room in the summer. This little light works fine for reading, doing crossword puzzles, in the dark. I have had to use it for a total of 10-12 hours so far, with no problems. Light is bright, adjustable, sufficient for good to fair vision. I bought a 2nd Flex Neck light recently, since he-who-laughed-at-me for buying the the first one had a fast change of mind during the last 4 hour power outage. I happily read my paperback while he endured the heat of the oil lamps to do his crosswords. I also ordered the spare batteries, ( Energizer 2032 Battery CR2032 Lithium 3v (1 Pack of 5) ) even tho the lights come with 2 extra batteries. One never knows. I looked carefully at other reading lights, read lots of reviews, but for the money and the performance, this Flex Neck fits the bill very well. I like that it is easy to tuck away when not in use, not a big space hog; I keep both of them clipped to the edge of a desk disc case for easy access.

Compact, convenient, functional
What can I say, other than it's a small(ish) battery-powered LED book light. It puts out enough light to read my Kobo ereader, and the flex neck lets me position the light source so that I can read without being blinded (it IS bright). They say that the head fits inside the clip to form a handly loop, and that's true; the clip also provides protection for the on/off switch on the back of the head so the chance of it being turned on by accident is greatly reduced. Mine has run for a lot of hours and I haven't had to change the batteries yet. I like mine, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Okay but not too bright
While this light overall is okay there are two problems with it. First, they are not too bright. This may do wll for a clip on book light (though sort of big for that use). Second, I bought many of these for a project I was doing and there were two different mechanisms to install batteries. One type just used a screw mechanism that could readily be addressed with a coin. The other type required a very small phillips screw driver -- not the sort of thing you might have on hand when a battery needs changing.

Works great!
For Christmas I purchased a $20 Kindle light for my husband, which I really liked. I decided to purchase one for myself and found this one for half the price. It's exactly the same, works great, and I can read in bed without turning on the overhead light, etc. It shines on the page very well, I have no trouble seeing, clips on well (although I clip several pages together at once if it's a soft-bound book), and moves easily if you need to flash more light anywhere. So far I've used it nearly every night for about 1.5 months and the little battery is still working fine. It came with 2 spares though, and we purchased an extra package of batteries so I'm good. Although I've read other reviews about the light switch going out, this hasn't happened with mine. At this price, I'm not too concerned about it, either.

Handy book light
I bought this to use with my Nook. For the price, this is a decent book light. It comes with two sets of batteries which is good since the batteries in the store cost more than the light. I find it works best if I clamp it at the top and tilt the head sideways. If you shine it directly on the e-reader, you get a glare from the LED bulbs. I wish it lit the entire screen a little better, but reviewers of other types of book lights (even more expensive ones) complain about the same problem. It is directed enough that is doesn't bother the driver in the car if you are reading on a trip. The clamp makes ugly marks on my cover , but I just moved it to the back cover so that it doesn't really matter. It folds up small and is a bargain compared to the book lights in the stores.

Disappointing
Bought this item based upon good reviews and now very disappointed. This was given as a gift to an avid late night reader so it would be used regularly. I went so far as bought the battery pack as well due to this fact. After 2 weeks of nightly use of an hour or so a night the product stopped working. The tough part is that is was a gift the other one is that for the price it is not worth the hassle of returning due to shipping expenses. I am going to buy another one but will not buy anything from this company again. Don't buy it.
