UPDATED: Fleas are complicated. ORIG: Fleas living and prospering after 3 spaced spraying sessions
EDIT: I gave this product only 2 stars originally. But after doing research and following recommendation I managed to resolve my backyard flea problem with this product. The problem with fleas is that they sort of "hibernate" in hard shell cocoons. And its impossible to create a chemical product which is safe (non-toxic) and kills fleas in all stages: larvae, cocoon, adult. If you make such product, it would be highly toxic for humans too. With my overly simplistic approach I sprayed 3 times, but I just did nothing in between these spraying sessions. Teenage fleas hide in impenetrable cocoons and can stay there for months. They get out of their cocoons when there is a potential meal walking nearby. So I decided to combine the poison with luring the fleas out of their cocoons. I walked around the backyard, stomping and slightly jumping to cause surface vibration. Then I sprayed the yard. Now, after couple of such sessions the fleas are finally and completely gone. Summary. This poison is just a good tool. But you also need to know how to use it correctly. ORIGINAL: I have a tiny backyard closed with a fence. A few stray cats visited and left some guerrilla combatants in a form of fleas. I made sure that cats couldn't trespass anymore and decided to use this product to kill fleas. I sprayed once. No result, same amount of fleas. Sprayed second time after a week. Less fleas, but still a lot. Waited another week and sprayed the third time. Three days past, there are much less fleas, but I still caught 3 fleas jumping on me. And even a single flee is too much. I must be zero. This product definitely doesn't work. Remind you, there are no more cats.

Be gone spiders!
This has helped keep our home spider free. There is not a smell to it and it is easy to use. My husband is able to get small spaces well with the nozzle. Very happy with this product.

Keeps clover mites away
In the spring and summer, my patio, driveway, and deck are always covered in red clover mites that leave a red orange stain when they are smushed. They are my biggest outdoor aggravation and they are attracted to heavily fertilized grass which we have. That is what I use this for primarily. I spray this and it keeps it under control for a while ( not sure about the 3 months though). I just sprayed this morning and will do it again in a month or two and usually a few days before we have our annual pool party or if entertaining a lot outdoors. I sprayed it last year before our party and we had no mosquitos or anything else. We also get deer and foxes and so far and have had no tick issues either. Took a star off because the connection to the hose is not a closed seal. As soon as I turn on the water and start spraying, there is spray that comes out of the connection too. Definitely wear gloves and wash your hands afterwards.

Good product but the spray bottle is absolutely worthless
Have used this product for many years with sprayer wand and have always seen good result. Saw the garden hose type on good discount on Prime day so I picked up a few to clear the whole yard. The product itself is not bad. Doesn't seem to leave as strong a smell as Off! brand and all the bugs seem to be gone as soon as I sprayed the yard. However, whoever designed this spray bottle should be shot, or at least fired. The weird angle of the hose connector means it is constantly leaking unless you just hold the hose. The spray travels barely 5 ft and it is all over the place, which also means it gets blown back in your face easily. They just couldn't use a conventional hose spray bottle. I ended up breaking open the neck and poured the content into an empty Off! spray bottle and got the job done. Off! bottle produces a flat jet that can reach about 15 ft out. It is comfortable to hold and easy to control the spray. I am taking off 2 stars for the poor bottle design.

If You Have Dogs: Helpful For Lawn Flea And Tick Control
Fleas and ticks are rampant in the San Francisco Bay Area. We've found Ortho Home Defense Lawn & Landscape to be a helpful tool in managing fleas and ticks on our dogs. It is easy to apply via spraying through attachment on your hose. Flea Note: Fleas are frustrating pests to get rid of, as they can live for a LONG time before hatching. So frustrating! You need to maintain an ongoing spray schedule to keep these pests under control in your lawns. One spray and done doesn't work for fleas. I highly recommend this product.

Absolutely Love this brand
I have been using this spray on my yard for about 2 years now. And I can say it is by far the best. It keeps the bugs at bay and away from the property. It acts as a great barrier and I can see the difference in the part of the property I have sprayed and what has not been sprayed. It last for about 2 months before I begin to see the bugs again so although the bottle says 3 months I would suggest spraying every 2 months.
