Impressive quality, impressive price. BUY THESE
If you are worried about the build quality or material quality of these because their price is lower than the rest, DONT BE! We hemmed and hawed over buying these because they were so much less expensive than other similar ones but ultimately decided to give it a chance and we are VERY happy! These are very good quality. We originally looked at the decorative brass sockets at HomeDepot and Lowe’s but their pricing made the cost of our project too high so we shopped around online and found these. In comparison of these sockets to the more expensive ones found at HomeDepot and Lowe’s, these are *much better quality*. The sockets feel nice and heavy in your hand, they have great detail in the threaded shade ring that is replicated along the top edge as well. The electrical connections inside are terminal blocks which is usually seen in higher quality components, with a terminal and small screw to tighten. The socket itself also has an opening for a ground wire. One note: the top part of the strain relief nuts were just a bit too small for the cloth covered (braided) cord we purchased. We fixed this problem literally drilling out the opening just a little bit so it would fit over the cord. The other half of the strain relief nut fit over it just fine. It was a tight fit and required some elbow grease but still totally usable.

Surprisliy Nice for the Price....
These light sockets are very nice quality for the price. Solid metal encasing with a standard bulb socket inside. For those having issues, the bulb mount unscrews from the outer metal casing via the threaded pipe coming out of the top. To remove the bulb socket, put two fingers in the socket and slowly turn the outer casing. That's it, the inner socket mount will come out, you then feed your wires through the top of the outer shell and then through the threaded wire pipe on the socket and then place the black wire in the bulb contact spot and the white in the outer thread contact. Once hooked up, screw the outer casing back on and there you have it. Not difficult at all. Overall I really like the quality and look of these light sockets. They perfectly meet my needs for some wall lights I'm making. No complaints here.

solid basic socket, attractive, matches great with lamp I used on.
I converted a E10 European candelabra socket to US E26. It is next to impossible to find E10 bulbs in the US. I got the lamp from the Habitat Re-store for $2. I got it partly because the bulb was working in it. lol The cat knocked over the lamp and the CFL quit working. I did not check if it was E26 before purchase. I never heard about or saw an E10 before. The kit contains all you need to replace a socket. It is easily separated for assembly with good quality components. I highly recommend. I put in a 60W equivalent LED bulb. I only needed one, but now have spares. :)

The sockets themselves are very nice and well constructed with a beautiful antique look
Have a floor lamp and matching table lamp that I wanted to put new sockets on. We had purchased two new lampshades to put on the lamps. The sockets themselves are very nice and well constructed with a beautiful antique look. My only problem with them is that an UNO shade does NOT fit on them. The old shades had a mount that was basically a large washer-type with a hole in it and these sockets would not even fit into them. I'm going to keep the sockets because they're certainly nice enough and I'm sure that I'll be able to find a use for them.

Worth it!!
These are the best hands down!! Description is 100% accurate. Bronze "Color", material "Metal" and if you don't like them you have a 30 day 100% money back guarantee on top of a 12 month warranty. The quality is amazing and surpasses any cheap socket with cardboard insert. I've ordered a few different types and I won’t buy anything but these. Ya they are pricey, but so worth it. So many people complaining. These are great. Glad I didn't pay attention to their reviews. I can't say anything about ones that have arrived broken...But again warranty and money back guarantee. A lot of them seem to be from people who are inexperienced with wiring/lighting or just can't read...Obviously if you think the wires get pushed through ceramic housing to reach bulb to power it you clearly don't know what you are doing and probably shouldn't be messing with electrical. These are very easy to wire up if you know what you are doing. I even taught my son how to wire while we did this project. If you are struggling watch a you tube video....

Wow! Really high quality!
I'm gobsmacked at the high quality of these fixtures. They are solid brass, and seem indestructible. There is a threaded collar at the bulb end that could accept a glass globe or other fixture, but for my use I didn't use it. Every bit of this product showed high quality engineering and solid build processes. (Well, if I'm honest, the plastic cord cap is a little flimsy, but I didn't use those either.) Highly Recommended.

Use the proper gauge wire.
These worked great for my project. They look great. A bit of a pain to wire. The wire obviously has to go through the threaded rod. Wouldn’t use a gauge any smaller in number than 14. That’s what I used because I had some left over from wiring some kitchen under cabinet lights. You have to unscrew the socket from the cover to get to the connectors. I also unscrewed the bracket that the rod is threaded through, ran the wire through it, connected them and bent the wires towards the center so that the bracket and rod would slide back over the wire without cutting them and fastened it back to the socket. Made it a lot easier than trying to connect the wires with the bracket in the way. Just remember to put the wire through the outer cover and the threaded rod and bracket before connecting the wires.

Great Quality
I was replacing light fixtures in my 105 year old home and was not finding what I needed at any of the big box hardware stores. So, I turned to Amazon and to my amazement I found these!!! They are PERFECT!!! They blend right in with the decorative cap that goes over them and now I have beautiful, bright overhead light in my dining room. They are very high quality and sturdy. I highly recommend these.
