Takes a bit of time and consistency, but I swear by these now. After about two months on Acnutrol my skin completely cleared. Also highly recommend trying Turmeric with it, something I have recently started implementing.

I’ve been taking Acnutrol regularly for the last 5 years and it has consistently kept my face and body clear from cystic and non-cystic acne. Prior to taking this, I tried every topical, face wash, antibiotic, etc. under the sun with limited results. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it! I haven’t had any side effects; I’ve had my liver enzymes checked over the years and everything has been normal. High recommend!

I took this supplement consistently for 1.5 years, at the recommended dose, so I feel qualified to speak on its efficacy. I’ll start by saying this is not a miracle drug and it did not completely clear my acne like BC or spiro, but it did help reduce the overall number of pimples I got each month. However, I’d only rate this 2.5 since it caused me to develop perioral dermatitis, which was equally as frustrating and didn’t subside until I stopped taking Acnutrol. My acne has returned with a vengeance since I stopped taking this, and I’m now looking for something else.

This stuff, is absolutely amazing. I have dealt with cystic acne for the past 12 years. Through that time I’ve been prescribed every oral antibiotic with the exception of accutane. Been through all the topicals, retinol’s, retinoids, retina’s. Spent hundreds if not thousands on all different types of cleansers, moisturizers, exfoliants, masks, clays, you name it. This right here got rid of it completely with one bottle and it hasn’t come back. Be cautious and know that there is little to no studies done on the long term effects of megadosing pantothenic acid, but if you’re tired of dealing with acne, this may just be the cure for you.

I think these capsules are good, but you have to be careful of how many you take at a time. I started off taking 6 capsules a day (as suggested on the bottle). Immediately, I noticed my skin was less oily (almost a little on the dry side), which was a great change, especially since it was still warm outside (I tend to be more oily in the summer months). About 1 month after I started taking it, however, my liver enzymes came up high on my blood test. Apparently a large dose of synthetic Vitamin A can do this. I backed down to 4 capsules a day and after 1 month of the new dose, my liver enzymes stabilized. The oily increased a bit and I still get maybe 1 or 2 spots/month, but there is a noticeable difference from when I was not taking the product.

My teen was on two rounds of accutane then an antibiotic when the acne came back. Then it came back just on his chest and back. We tried literally everything out there from dandruff shampoo as a soap (I read it somewhere) to tea trea soap. Nothing helped except Acnutrol. I had him take 2 pills in am and 2 in pm with meals. He’s upped it to 5 pills total now per day. I was worried that 5-6 pills might increase his liver enzymes so not sure but the acne is literally GONE. He’s so happy! It took a solid 3 weeks to see any change so I kept reassuring him that if it didn’t help in 3 weeks we’d go back to the dermatologist (who only know how to prescribe pills or creams which don’t get to the root cause). Our plan is to continue 5 pills a day for another month then go down to 4, and hopefully maintain at 3 per day if it doesn’t flare again. I feel better knowing it’s a half dose of vit A since it can be toxic in high doses. I’m also having him take a good probiotic (100 million or billion?? Strength, and some other things to heal his gut from the accutane and antibiotics.

Love the product!! It has been a wonderful addition to my regimen. However the packaging needs to change, when I opened the padded mailer, glass shards spilled out. So I attempted to open the supplement to see if it was salvageable… glass everywhere! Has to be sent in a box.

I just received product with broken lid, hopefully doesn’t affect product I store it in this way. Since there’s jar sealing so I guess it works! Hopefully next time when I reorder I receive not damaged product!
