VERY SHARP AND DURABLE .COMFORTABLE GRIP

Let’s face it, it’s a hand saw for like backpacking and camping. It does its job and closes just nice. Easy to carry and easy to use. As for its cutting speed, it’s a hand saw so don’t compare it to like a chainsaw. Feels great in the hand.

Folding Mechanism is not reliable and will stop work. Blade is very good.

This thing cuts great. I bought it for cutting roots while metal detecting and bottle digging. I’ve used it to saw through a 4 inch tree laying in my path with minimum effort. It is a great buy and well worth the money. Only downfall is the blade is thin and is prone to bending and possibly snapping. Just be careful with it and you should be fine. It is very lightweight, and handy.

Very portable. I attach the sheath to my belt and take it with me in the garden and the trail. The saw blade is very sharp and cuts right through branches. I was concerned when I read a review that the blade was too thin. No problem; it works beautifully.

I absolutely love this thing, a while back I was visiting my girlfriend in Massachusetts and we had her daughter with us that weekend and she told me she wanted to walking stick while basically hiking the terrain we were on , back home in Texas; That’s usually no big problem because I generally have a machete or something to that affect to make that happen, so fast forward I went on Amazon later day , and I bought this wonderful, super sharp folding saw and waited for the time to be right to get the opportunity to go back up to Massachusetts and was able to make a little girl happy because she had her own custom walking stick as we were going for another nature trail hike. Thank you SOG for making such a great piece of equipment..—-super sharp blade.

Cuts good. This is a nice sized saw that folds into a small enough item to put in my emergency backpack. The nylon case seems adequate and has a secondary pocket for extra blades. The only thing I noticed is that I have a tendency to hold the saw up high on the handle and a few times I accidentally pressed the orange button that locks and unlocks it. This caused the blade to go backwards until I locked it in place. I was disappointed that it didn't have a black safety lock as pictured and came with a bright orange one. Someone wanting to stay hidden might not like that. The orange is very visible.

I purchased the SOG F10-N for a dad who has been complaining about not having a camp saw. He is very outdoorsy and is a scoutmaster who insists on backpacking in and has wanted a small saw since I worked at a hardware store. I searched high and low for a good saw. Having seen this on Amazon, I thought of the several SOG knives I have purchased and thought of the quality I have always admired in this Seattle based company. I figured it was worth a shot. My dad recently returned from his 6th camp since getting the saw, and told me of his gratitude for it. He does a lot of snow camping and he said that normally he makes the boys create a wood work zone and makes them chop, cut and pile wood. He figured he had better try this first, and he spent 3 hours cutting wood. He worked to the point he had blisters, but because of his satisfaction with the saw, he hardly noticed until he put the saw away. He loves its compact size and the weight. He likes the safety lock system and has been bragging about it to other scoutmasters. Sounds like a worthwhile product to me.

Great lightweight folding hand saw with locking blade. Comes with a good nylon storage case. Comfortable handle & quite smooth cutting. Wish it came with extra blades or the option to purchase on Amazon. Though they can be purchased directly through SOG.
