OLUKAI Ho'opio Leather Women's Beach Sandals, Full-Grain Leather Flip-Flop Slides, Modern Low Profile Design & Comfortable Fit

I don't like to review things without using them/wearing them for a period of time. I bought these flip flops june 2024. I LOVE them! They are my favorite flip flops. Why? Because I have lower back issues. These flip flops have a built in arch support, are NOT squishy (which are bad for back issues) and are high quality. Nothing like an Old Navy (foam) flip flop. They are worth the money. These flops were worn on 3 beach vacations and throughout all last summer (2024) and I have brought them out for 2025 travel. They still feel/look great. I came back to order another pair for this summer and decided to review them. I have had no issues with the leather tearing or coming apart. Some reviews talk about them being heavy, but I don't think they are "heavy"as much as they are high quality materials (not just foam). They are not light weight but I beleive thats what makes them a good walking summer shoe. They have been worn at the ocean, in sand, walking on concrete and all over town. For sizing, I do wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8 and they fit great, so maybe order up.

Love! Blistering in between toes but I don’t wear thongs often so I am concluding it’s user error lol. Cute shoes tho, otherwise very comfy, and very versatile!

Perfect fit, just as advertised. My second pair (in another color) and they are very comfortable and have nice arch support.

Loved the black patent leathers so much I ordered the gold too! I think they are elegant and sexy... They dont have the look of "orthopedic, comfort, middle age flip flops" I usually wear hokas or oofoos. The Olukais are definitely not as cushiony as those. However those are called "recovery sandals" for after workouts and they are certainly not pretty like these. These have a firm sole, not flimsy at all. The arch support is fine, not excellent but satisfactory for plantar faciitis feet like mine. The soles have excellent grip! As other reviewers have said, the size runs slightly small. I wear an 8.5 so sized up 1/2 size, a 9 fits me perfectly. If you are looking for a pretty option in flip flops that are better for middle age feet I would reccomend. I wore them right out of the box with no break in period.

Update Nov. 2024 - I've had these for 3 years and after putting them through EXTREME use, the thong part finally tore away from the right-hand sandal after accidentally catching my foot very hard on a curb. They were definitely starting to show their wear, but as you can see in my original review below, it's hardly unexpected. Will be buying a new pair ASAP. Original review Dec. 2022: Bought these a year ago, I live in North Africa and wear these nearly 24/7. Pictured here during a week of trekking in the Sahara. Y'all, these are indestructible. I have pretty high arches, so most shoes/sandals are way too flat and give me searing pains in the arch and foot pain after walking for a short time. I put up to several miles a day on these nearly every day, to the market and farm and back, and zero pain. Wear them hiking in the rocky Atlas mountains, wading through rivers, no issues. Wear them constantly to the beach, including in the water, they handle rocks, water, salt, sand, everything. Never any smells like some brands. I can't praise these highly enough, I recommend them to everyone I meet, and won't be buying any other sandals or flip-flops for life.

I loved my first pair of Olukai shoes and flip-flops, so I had high hopes for these flip-flop slides. The piece between the toes is thick, and the threading is rough. Also, the ridge intended to support your toe area is too high. I tried to wear them several times, thinking I needed to "break them in," but they hurt my feet! I even had bruising from trying to wear them for several hours. I am disappointed that I missed the return window because I cannot continue wearing them.

Cannot get better than OluKai. I have two different pairs and these ones are my favourite. Super comfy and they look so good on my feet.

The product was delivered earlier than expected and fits well. They are very comfortable and I was able to wash them with mild detergent and threw them in the dryer. I wore them after a rain and they got wet and so I hand washed them in a bucket of soapy, warm water. I removed the cushion insole before I washed them and wiped it down. These are amazing shoes! I absolutely love them!

Awesome quality as usual

Super comfortable and supportive for mt feet. I knock off 1 star as the foot bed wears fast and gets slippery long before the tread wears out. I don't wear them in the water, but i cant say they never get wet. I buy a pair every other year, because i make myself deal with the slippery-ness for an extra year due to the high price.

They look even better than the pictures! Great quality, but I don't know why I need to size up for this pair. I owe another Olukai and 7 is usually my size. However Ho'opio size 7 was very tight for my feet, returned and ordered an 8 instead.
