Best Organic Brown Rice
Great High Quality Organic Rice. I've used this brand everyday for years. Tastes great. Looks fresh everytime I open a new bag. I recommend.

BEST RICE EVER
I bought this on a whim from my local asian super market, and kind of fell in love with it completely. I've never really liked white rice (i hate how it's so soft and kinda mushy, and only the Japanese sushi white rice I can stand) and so didn't really cook rice for the longest time. After buying this for the hell of it though, I'm so impressed that I had to buy the 15 lb bag. Note that I used to required like 2 years to finish a 5 lb bag. This 15 lb is a huge investment - that's how much I love it. I use my regular rice cooker for this and i don't bother with soaking it or whatever. The result is the rice is not mushy, and is a bit more separated and rounder (if that makes any sense). There's a chewiness to the rice grains that I absolutely adore (ie, not mushy!!! you can tell how i hate mushy lol), and it does have that rather rich nuttiness to it. It's not overwhelming, I don't think anyone is gonna go "eww nutty" and hate it. It's mainly that it has a more "aromatic" quality to the taste that's absolutely amazing. Since buying this rice, i've been making rice every few days to be the "carbohydrate" portion of my (attempted) balanced meals. It's so good i'm pretty sure I can just eat a big bowl of the rice on its own if I don't control myself. lol Since it's a 15lb bag, I recommend pouring out some of it into a smaller container for ease of daily use. Also this brown rice easily attracts and grows rice weevil. This particular 15lb bag won't have it because it's well sealed in heavy duty plastic, but the smaller bag i purchased from the supermarket turned out to have a hole on the bottom that i did not notice and yeah, that thing had a bunch of rice weevil in it (-_-;;;; ). Since it's hard to finish the 15lb bag quickly and once it's opened, you can't really seal it up, it'd be a good idea to portion some into a smaller container and freeze the rice for 3 consecutive days in order to properly kill any potential weevil contamination.

Great texture and nutty flavor
Have tried multiple ways to cook this rice. It does not like too be cooked on a stovetop. I have tried more water and time. Soaking overnight. Always crunchy or gummy. So only make this in my pressure cooker now. 1 cup rice to 1 1/3 cups liquid. Salt lightly and cook on high for 23 min and allow it to naturally release pressure until all pressure is gone. I don't rinse my rice and it is not gummy or too starchy. Use for sushi wraps and in stews and just plain with veggies. As a diabetic it doesn't spike my blood sugar like white rice. All in all great value and taste just wish I had more cooking options other than pressure cooker hense the one star off.

A lot like PF Changs
Great value, our local store doesn’t carry this rice in this size. It reminds me a lot of PF Changs brown rice. It has a slightly nutty flavor, great texture rice. About a 20-25 minute cook time in our instant pot. I eat a lot of rice and this is one of my favorites! I’m not a nutritionist but I feel like this is a pretty healthy option too.

Excellent rice but a bit sticky
FYI: Instructions on picture here are different from my packaging. Mine says 1c rice and 1 1/2c water. Just cooked my first batch of this. What a difference from normal store bought brown rice. This rice is chewy and and has a nutty flavor which I love. Won't be going back to store bought again. Instructions say to soak rice 30 minutes and then cook 30m. I soaked a little longer and then cooked it but still had water left over. When saving in a container I noticed it's really sticky. Not sure how to fluff the rice to get them to not stick. I would love that restaurant quality style where each piece is separate. Any tips let me know. I'll keep experimenting. Edit: Double batched this time, 2c rice 3c water 1tsp salt after soaking 30m. Cooked 30m, had a lot of water left, so I let it go 20 minutes longer and it's ok. Still sticky. Will try rice cooker next.

Perfectly Cooked and Nutritious!
Nishiki Premium Brown Rice has exceeded my expectations in several ways. As someone who appreciates good quality rice, I found this product to be a fantastic choice. The rice cooks perfectly in my Zojirushi rice cooker on the brown rice setting. Following the line inside the pot for how much water to add and how many cups ensures consistent results every time. The grains come out firm yet tender, maintaining their integrity without becoming mushy. In terms of flavor, Nishiki Premium Brown Rice has a subtle nuttiness that I really enjoy. It adds a delicious depth to dishes and pairs well with a variety of cuisines. Whether serving it alongside stir-fries, curries, or using it in sushi rolls, it consistently enhances the meal. Another aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the value for money. Despite its premium quality, Nishiki rice is actually more affordable than what I used to buy at my local Asian grocery store. This makes it not only a superior choice in terms of quality but also a cost-effective option for regular use. Packaging-wise, the 15-pound bag is convenient for storage and ensures that I always have a steady supply on hand without worrying about running out too quickly. Overall, I highly recommend Nishiki Premium Brown Rice to anyone looking for a reliable and flavorful option for their pantry. Its consistent quality, great texture, and competitive pricing make it a standout choice in the realm of brown rice options available today.
