I have woren the Jockey French Cut Elance panties for many years. Here is want I like about them - they are cotton, the french cut leg holes, and they fit at the waist. Although made of cotton, they never shrink when washed. The French cut leg holes are comfortable and never bind. And I like the complete coverage this style provides. I wear a size 5 and have never had any problems w/this style.

Great waistband. Cotton all the way in summer heat!

I had to return these because they fit very strangely on me. If I yanked them all the way up so the bottom didn't have loose fabric, the leg elastics dug in and the waistband was an inch over my bellybutton on the front and even taller on the back. In face, it went up so tall that I started having loose fabric below the waistband on the back because it was over the curve of my waist! If I move the elastic to over my bellybutton or a bit below, I have crazy amounts of sagging under my bum. Also, I have a 38" hip which should have been a 6 on the size chart. I tried that size first, and it was far, far too large. I tried the 5 next, and that's when I ran into the issues described above. I tried them over another pair of panties of course, and even then the 5 was loose around the hips, though both sizes' waist was okay. Basically, if you're much taller than me (I'm 5' 3") or have a longer torso, these might work for you much better. Maybe if you have a fuller bottom as well to fill out the back? I'm pretty sad about the fit, because the fabric is very sturdy and the covered elastics are pretty comfy. The cut is also great--I'll be looking for more French cuts from now on, I think this fit works for me great because I tend to have the leg elastics dig in due to how my thighs are shaped. These will also show up under pants pretty well, even thick jeans if they're fitted at the hips, but they're very comfy so depends on your preferred style if that's a problem.
