Great taste
Drank this whilst I had the flu and it was great. I also use it in casseroles as well and they taste great.

Far too expensive
Very good but at over £4 for less than 2 cups of broth it's far too expensive. I wanted to make a long cook braised meat dish and had run out & didn't have time to make my own. But for anyone in need of good chicken broth -- make your own: either with chicken bones from the butcher or a whole chicken. Take the chicken out when the meat is cooked, typically at 1 hour mark, strip the meat and put the bones back and let it simmer for 2-3 plus hours, if you have the bones and the time, you can simmer bone broth for hours, uncovered, topping up water as needed. You will have broth better than anything you can buy, and far cheaper.

Quality Ingredients, Hard to Justify at the Price
Bone broth has become a regular addition to the weekly routine, used partly for cooking and partly taken straight as a warm drink on the basis of the collagen and gut health benefits that have reasonable evidence behind them. Borough Broth has a strong reputation in this space and the chicken version seemed like a natural starting point given the brand positioning around quality sourcing and proper slow cooking methods. The quality is genuine and noticeable. The flavour has a depth and richness that a standard stock cube or even a decent shop bought liquid stock doesn't replicate, a proper savouriness with a clean chicken character that suggests the bones have been cooked long enough to extract what they should. Used it as a cooking base for a risotto and the difference compared to a standard stock was apparent in the finished dish, a roundness and body that built through the cook rather than a flat salty base note. Drunk straight as a warm drink it performs well too. Satisfying in a way that feels substantive rather than just flavoured water, which cheaper alternatives often amount to once you look past the marketing. The problem is the 324g size against the price point. For a product used regularly either in cooking or as a daily drink the cost adds up quickly and the quantity disappears faster than feels proportionate to what was spent. A single risotto or a few days of morning broth and the pouch is gone. For an occasional quality ingredient or a specific recipe where the depth of flavour matters it's worth it. As a genuine daily habit the economics are difficult to sustain and there are more cost effective ways to get bone broth into a regular routine without compromising too significantly on quality.
