This is the best lunchbox for our toddler at preschool. Easy to open & keeps food warm until lunchtime. It’s easy to clean. The box is so high quality, we’re so impressed!

I had never owned a lunch box before so I wasn’t sure if it would be a good fit for us. I mainly bought it because I loved the idea of having an insulated container together with the actual lunch box. such a clever idea! We’ve been using this lunch box for over two years now. Compared to other lunch boxes, this one is heavier. At first I didn’t like it because I was used to plastic containers. I bought it because I wanted to provide my child with a high-quality and safe place to store food. The quality has never disappointed me. It doesn’t crack, it’s easy to clean, there are no stains, and NO LEAKS! We use the insulated container every day with some fruits and vegetables, sometimes hummus, yogurt etc Their customer service is a dream! I had issues with my order (because I ordered it incorrectly), and they immediately sent me an email to help me out. Then, a year later, I had more questions about a product, and the issue was resolved in one day.

I love the OmieBox, we have tried many bento boxes but this is our absolute favorite! My 3 kids are able to easily open their Omie and eat their warm lunches at school. You have the option to use the thermal for warm food or remove it for a cold lunch (sandwiches for example) option. What I love most about this box is the food stays in place! It doesn’t get mixed around and messy so I never worry that my kids wont have a good meal for school. It’s easy to clean, food stays warm and in place, and my kids can easily open their lunch box. Love love love!

We ordered the Omie Box to use in combination with my son’s Bento Kids Leakproof Lunch Box because he wants some warm lunches. He used the Bento last year in his 3 year old preschool class and it was great. He is now 4 and has used the Omie Box a number of times for lunch at home in practice for the upcoming 4 year old pre-K class. He figured out how to open it from the first use, although, it took him a second the first time. The portion sizes and ease of use are perfect for him. After warming the thermos 10 min. with boiling water and placing the hot food inside at a much higher temperature than I would serve immediately his food stays warm enough to satisfy him after sitting 5 hours until lunch. We LOVE our Omni Box, in comparison to his Bento Kids (which we also love) the Omni has a more durable plastic design than the inner tray of the Bento and while the Bento seal is never failing we love that the Omni seals are removable and replaceable since wearing and staining eventually occur. I am a mom of five who learned long ago that I often don’t have the time and energy to re-do what I could have done right the first time. I am the crazy person who actually reads the entire cellphone contract and instructions to assemble items that appear to be very straight forward and I always learn a little something useful. So, a little common sense goes a long way! Plastic can only handle so much heat, seals must be cleaned, seals are pliable therefore porous which may stain if unwashed, and trying to keep hot and cold items so close together while retaining a desirable temperature is tricky, not faulty. I have purchased enough bottles and sippy cups over the years to know that every seal serves a beautiful purpose that is 100% vital to the product function and I have yet to encounter a single seal design that was not a complete pain in some regard. However, if I were set on simple and pain free I would send a prepackaged disposable lunch. The instructions make it crystal clear this item can withstand the top rack in a dishwasher (hand washing is recommended) without heated drying, however, it is not to be placed in the microwave, freezer, oven, on the stove or any heat source. I really can’t stress enough that you should really become familiar with how the two seals (1. Lid 2. Thermos lid) work because when cared for and used as instructed there are no thermos leaks and the side compartments can handle some juices from food. Obviously, defects occur but this design is solid enough! The lid does not shut if the lid seal is not fully inserted but still functions if you go ahead and close the latch. The instructions say not to over fill the thermos and after misjudging, I learned that overfilling the thermos makes seal loose (which instructions state) or fall off of the thermos lid causing everything to leak out. Leaving enough space for the insulated lid to sit properly when twisted on prevents all leakage. Super Stellar Lunch Bos!

Overall we love OmieBox and have bought several colors and accessories! Pros: It's a SUPER durable design, out Blue sky and Meadow boxes have been used half of last school year, all summer at outdoor soccer camp in the city, & half of this school year so far and doesn't have a scratch on it yet, easy to clean, holds a good amount of food, haven't had any issues with leaks, keeps food warm for hours in thermos, love being able to customize the leak proof spacious side compartments, & can be used with thermos or without. Cons:Price is a little high for targeted audience(even celebrities have said it's a splurge if you have multiple kids), two of our thermos got stuck closed(was able to get one open after a week in the freezer), couldn't fit in last years Cat & Jack lunch bag without leaving the zipper open a little and the handle sticking out( middle schooler was able to manage no problem)so had to buy a Champion Estate lunch bag this year, doesn't come with the name tag the OmieUp comes with even though they're the same price and younger kids would probably need it more than the older kids the OmieUp is targeted to(NOT TO SAY the OmieUp shouldn't come with it or that you should raise the price), doesn't come with the icepack the OmieUp comes with even though it's the same price. Although I haven't had to need one because I usually freeze items like yogurt or applesauce, the company adding one to the OmieUp or saying we can add icepacks to the outside of this one makes it seem like you do need it. But again OVERALL a great lunch box and I would even buy more if they send me a replacement for the stuck thermos because that would show me their customer service is great as well.

La boîte est jolie, pratique et bien étanche grâce à son joint. Quand on n'a pas la possibilité de réchauffer, le récipient isotherme est top pour les soupes ou plats en sauce qui restent bien chauds pour les enfants.

bento box thermos lid got stuck in first use only. I tried to reach out to customer services but they refused to provide replacement parts outside US, which was very disappointing and local vendor never replied. Its not worth the spend and hassale, I will not recommend this product
