Filmmaker Robert Nevison commenting I wanted to take the audience back to this unique time, as it happened. Our plan was to craft the new documentary entirely from original CAN AM color archive film footage. What we did discover was exceptional. CAN AM The Speed Odyssey rare archive footage originates from numerous cans of 16 mm color film, two inch wide television broadcast color video reels and a select a of Super 8 mm color footage filmed by CAN AM race teams. Creating this new film was like assembling a very large mosaic, challenging but really exciting to see the story unfold. Now all generations worldwide can experience this timeless road racing spectacle, an odyssey of pure speed, fierce race competition, radical innovations and ground shaking sounds.
