Very impressed with this headlight restoration kit! It removed oxidation, light scratches, and haze from my headlights, making them look almost new again. The instructions were easy to follow, and the results were noticeable immediately. Visibility at night improved, and the kit saved me from replacing expensive headlight assemblies. Great value, easy to use, and highly recommended for restoring cloudy headlights.

I had one headlight on a Toyota that was cloudy. After reading far too many negative reviews on other systems I decided to go with this option in part because the final step did not involve wiping a solution across the plastic with the requirement to somehow get even application. The final result of this solution is totally dependent on the prep involved, or how well you use the sandpaper. In short I did not use the roughest sandpaper to start, but in hindsight I should have started with an even a finer grit paper. Near the edges of the headlight, depending on the design, it can be hard to get to the edges and remove the effects of the lower grit paper. Said another way while my result is very good, I can tell that I should have worked more on the edges before the final step. But the overall result is good enough that I didn't start over. Perhaps it would be easier if the headlight was removed from the car, but as long as you manage your expectation or are willing to put the effort in the results are very good. I took the car through a carwash and the the coating survived. Long term I have no idea how this will hold up to weather and car washings. An alternative that I didn't consider until after completing the job was to simply buy new headlights off of Amazon. While more expensive apparently this is a realistic option, especially if both headlights are in question. I spent 45 minutes sanding one headlight. My estimate is that the time for two headlights is similar to the time to simply swap out the headlight.

I used a separate kit of round wet sandpaper to prep the lens. I also used acetone, not whatever was in the bottle they sent with the kit. I knocked a star off because it never produced a steady stream of vapor, just the occasional "puffs". I was under the impression a steady vapor could come out and I could just go back and forth across the lens. Nope. About a quarter sized puff came out every 30 seconds or so. I found if I swirled the cup it would occasionally produce a burst of vapor about a silver dollar size. All in all it eventually produced enough puffs for me to finish the job. Be careful not to get a drop of liquid on your lens (instead of vapor). Acetone is like acid on this plastic and it will leave a drip mark on the lens that you'll have to sand out and start over. So it cleaned up my lens but it just took a lot of little puffs of vapor to do it as you can see on the second and third pictures.

This product works well if you are familiar with wet sanding surfaces. If not then there are plenty of youtube videos explaining and demonstrating the process. The instructions are self explanatory and can be easily understood. Very important though, make sure to wear a gas mask and goggles when handling the vaporizer with uv chemicals or the container that holds the chemical. Limt your breathing exposure as best as possible. All that said the product worked just like all the other videos showed on the internet. The application for both headlights took a combined 10 minutes for the vaporizer steam application, and sanding about 30 minutes for both sides. 20 minutes per side to sand and clean then apply vapor. All in all made a very noticeable difference compared to the yellow hazed look before. I would have posted before pictures, but as soon as I got the product I went straight to using without thinking about a before picture. But trust me it looks good if you can wet sand properly. I would recommend this product for purchase.

Don't buy this kit, I started restoring the headlights and as soon as I tilted it, liquid leaked on the hood and bumper and left a blue mark that doesn't wash off, the worst experience
