How big is the wheel? i had just ordered from a different seller and the wheel is only like 6-8" diameter instead of 12".... i'd love a bigger one!

Yes, the ships wheel is smaller than the anchor. I don’t have them side by side on my wall to show you, but it is probably around 8-9” diameter.

It seems that everything a person orders anymore comes from China.

Can this go outdoors?

I am not 100% sure what kind of paint was used or what climate you live in. Personally I would give it a try ( especially for that good price). I used mine only inside but i don't think outside would ruin it.
