They don’t tell you in the description but the escutcheon to valve joint is 1/2 npt threads. So you can screw on a piece of black pipe to guide the key to the valve and have the valve below the floor insulation. Valve works and doesn’t leak but is expensive for what it is.

So far so good….
Been doing several new construction homes, running gas line to the fire boxes. They close and open with positive shut off. Will continue to buy even though they are higher than lowes or home depot. They have been passing inspections so Im happy.

Works great / easy install
Had a very old valve I had to open with a pliers on our gas fireplace. This thing was plug and play and works great. We use the fireplace 10 times more now due to the convenience.

Item came scratched.
The parts were packaged together causing the valve to bounce around in the box and scratch the trim plate. It is a shame because it was imported from the USA and took longer to get here, now I either have to install the damaged one or wait a few more weeks to get a new one.
