Great Clamping System
When I opened the box, I was impressed to see how well everything was put together. Easy to install. I do recommend predrilling your before installing the screws. If you have never used this style of clamp, there is a slight learning curve. I like that the cranking portion of the clamp are metal. They are durable and a great value for the money. Easy to align and keep the boards flat with even pressure. There are reviews that this is hard to use, it is not, it is different clamp and does take a little time to set up. You have the ability to choose whatever length clamp you choose. I have a set of 24" and 36" boards that I can easily switch between. I have two sets that are great for when I am making cutting boards. Having equal pressure on all four sides is a must. Do follow the instructions and you too will enjoy these as much as I do.

Worked Well
Over all worked well. It was a little tricky to get the clamping setup properly. Whatever caul you decided to use needs to be fairly tall so the hinge doesn't dig into the piece your clamping.

A little clunky at first, but once you get the hang of these, they are great!
Took me a little while to come up with a good method to do a multiple piece hardwood glue up for a cutting board. The trick is to get something to hold the top bars up and out of the way while you place the glued parts on top of the bottom cauls. Also a good idea is to use duct tape to surface your cauls so the wood glue won't stick to them. Once I got that figured out I (finally!) produced a nice, even, cutting board glue-up with perfect alignment across the tops of all 16 boards. Next I used it to clamp a panel for a cabinet, which required less thinking to setup. Again, it worked great! These things are now my go-to clamps for these types of applications. My only small concern is the instructions tell you the width to cut wood for the cauls, but I found these to be too tight and made it hard to slip the cauls (covered in duck tape) in between the rungs of the clamps. Next time I shave them down a 1/16th or so from the instructions (but don't go too thin).

These Clamps do the job,
These clamps work great. Bit of a learing curve, but once you understand how they work. Its a game changer.. Im not sure about other reviews? but the instructions were clear and very detailed. I DO recomend using a hard wood, (Oak) insted of a 2X4. The pine will "bow" slightly when the clamps are torqued down. I've seen videos where folks shave the ends to make the center a bit more concave to compensate for the bowing effect... So far I've clamped quite a few cutting boards and I have to say I've had no issues..

It got me through a tough glue-up!!
I had an order for a maple and walnut cutting board with 3" legs at the corners to sit on top of the customer's kitchen stove. I started with 1 1/8" stock cut into 1" strips. The plan was to use a random arrangement. I got halfway into plan "A" and without thinking I shifted to Plan "B" - the result was uneven gluing. No problem - I thought. WRONG!! The maple was like sanding iron - even with a 50 grit in my belt sander. Even worse - the board was heavy. So, new option - Plan "C" - cut it in half on the table saw and run it through the planer . Yes, I lost thickness and facing a new glue up I received a flyer from a wood workers supplier and saw an add for the four way pressure clamps - WOW just what I need. I even ripped some boards that just did not look right so I was facing a challenging re-glue-up. I immediately ordered the 4 way system - delivery was fast, assembly took a little thinking, but following the diagrams it went together nicely. And most important, it did the job. I started a new line in charcuterie boards and cutting boards -- now that I have my 4 Way system I can really do some super work. The price was right - the delivery time ,very fast - performance, amazing! Super value and an excellent addition to my shop, Bill Pantle, Willie's Wood Shed - like me on Facebook.

Strong, unlimited length option, fair price
Very well-built. For added straight edge, instead of wood beams suggested, I bought a metal 8' square tube 1-1/2" square for each clamp set of two, cut them in half to make two 4' beams, drilled and threaded for 1/4"-20 x 1" flat head Phillips machine screws. For gluing shorter panels, I used a 10" piece of wood (spacer) to reach the clamps bumper pad. This was more expensive than wood (cost of square tube and screws) and heavier, but gives a much straighter edge to hold the wood panels being glued together. It also doesn't stick to the glue and won't warp over time which wood beams would do. Very good product, strong, and offers unlimited options for length. Much less costly than fixed length ones.
