The best baking soda in bulk! It comes in a nice bucket easy to carry. The consistency and texture is great, not full of clumps. I use it for baking, cleaning and making my own laundry detergent. It is a little spendy, I can get a larger quantity at Costco, but the consistency with this one can’t be beat while the Costco brand is hard and you have to break it up.

Its mined not made in a laboratory big difference if you don’t want to ingest poison arm and hammer is poison. Good to clean with though. This is for cooking. Very happy with this product.

I’ve purchased this more than once it lasts a long time and works well for a cleaning all around the home. I use it to wash towels and sheets and allow white linen to remain white compared to bleach that might color yellow overtime. I also use it when cleaning fresh food items. this large container comes in handy.

It took forever to get it, but it was worth it. I think it's important to know the quality of product especially if you're using it in food. This is one of the best natural products that can be authenticated.

I have severe multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS). I'm especially sensitive to fragrances, but I'm also bothered by lots of other odors, like cleaning chemicals. I use baking soda often as a non-noxious cleaner, and also to absorb smells in certain circumstances -- and in this context, it's especially important that the baking soda be pure, and not already full of absorbed volatiles! The packaging on almost all baking soda is completely inadequate, and allows VOCs and smells to permeate and then get absorbed by the baking soda. Worse yet, baking soda is frequently stored near laundry or other cleaning products in stores and warehouses, so it has even easier access to noxious fumes. Almost every container of baking soda I've purchased -- including a resealable HDPE tub with a rubber gasket that made the baking soda smell like tires, which I think is actually from this same manufacturer -- has been full of smelly, awful, unusable, impure baking soda. Except this one. The secret here is in the packaging. As of March 2019, the bag this product comes in is kraft paper on the outside and metallized foil on the inside, with a strong, reliable resealable ziploc-style opening. The metallized interior acts as a VOC barrier to keep the contents truly separate from the smells and fumes of its surroundings. The result is that the baking soda arrived scentless and pure -- and, as I am very diligent about sealing the zipper-top correctly, it has stayed that way. (I should note, for fellow MCS-sufferers, that the kraft paper on the *outside* tends to absorb perfumes from the warehouse and in transit, so the exterior of the package could still bother you, depending on its ambient conditions -- but I had this happen with one bag and the contents inside were still perfectly scent-free, so it's still worth it to me. I have decanted some of this powder into a clean ball glass quart jar with cleaned canning-jar seal lids and added some tyvek-packaged silica gel packets, as a backup in case the bag seal fails [or SO gets lazy about closing it, which is more likely] -- you may prefer to do the same once the product arrives, if the kraft paper bothers you. The metallized foil interior is still worthwhile for protecting the baking soda from odors before it gets to your home!) Is this expensive per pound? Yes. But the metallized foil packaging makes it worth if you really care about getting baking soda that is pure and doesn't stink. Also bear in mind that baking soda is denser than you think; you'll probably be surprised at how small this bag is... but it's worth it. Check out some of the other products in the Pure Organic line that are packaged in kraft paper bags -- in my experience so far, those have all been metallized, too, and scent-free!
