I bought this because it was strongly recommended by a friend. Actually I bought two colours. The application is fine. I love the violet smell and the dark purple on the lips is entertaining. It's not difficult to remove the purple layer (I leave it for slightly longer than recommended as I found that the stain didn't develop enough). Wipe with a damp tissue - although I found that it doesn't come off smoothly. I had to keep wiping and checking for some time as it left lots of tiny dark purple flecks on my lips, skin and teeth. The colours are both pretty and I love the berry stained look. I didn't find the colour uneven, but my lips aren't particularly dry in the first place, so that helps. And I like that I can wear lip balm over it without removing the colour as I like to use balm and without it, this stain felt quite dry. But for the price, I'd expect it to last longer. It doesn't. It lasts better than a lipstick, but not as long as other stains I own that cost a lot less. And the novelty purple application means it's not something it's convenient to carry around and reapply. I like it, but probably not enough to buy it again.

What a faff... and what for? Uneven colour that is not long lasting. I get why it says to properly exfoliate and moisturise your lips beforehand. The colour goes on unevenly very easily. If you want a more precise finish, you'll need to wear lip liner. I found the colour not lasting any longer than your average lipstick.. So, a lot of faff for nothing amazing.

I hate lipstick but this I love, the length you leave it on depends on how dark it goes and it's so easy to apply. Be cautious when applying it does stain right away so go slow and don't run your lips together with it on right away. Wipe away with something you don't care about and wipe inwards so you don't stain outside of the application zone

Does not work as advertised. I ordered the Harley colour to get a more red lip. Left on for two minutes. On my lips, it barely changed past my natural pink colour. Drew slightly over the lip line to have a more full look. Ha! I looks like a five year old who ate a strawberry candy and got it all over her mouth or who has been outside too much and has chapped lips. Not a nice look. Plus it burned while on and for the five min after wiping off. Not a product I will be buying again. Too bad.

The shade I bought was a different shade of red from what I normally wear. It’s like a tomato red shade. It doesn’t suit my skin tone but since I already bought it, might as well use it. It’s matte also. I find that by itself, it only lasts about a couple of hours. So now after putting this on, waiting 30-60sec and wiping off the blue layer, I add Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink to it to add sheen and longetivity. Maybelline by itself doesn’t last long either but the combination of these two products works well for me. They last throughout the whole day and have to use a makeup remover to remove it from my lips. Just make sure that your lips are not chappy nor too dry before putting these on. Any chapped skin will make your lipstick look patchy. And don’t peel your lips before putting it on or else you will feel a slight sting. Would I buy it again? Perhaps, but a different lighter shade for next time.
