I hesitated to buy these pencils for months because of the negative reviews but a very reasonable price for a trustworthy brand eventually convinced me to take a chance and I’m glad I did. Consistent with the reputation of the Staedtler brand name, they are excellent quality pencils that perform very well. The color selection is lovely and varied, the pencils keep a sharp point, are great for fine lines and small details, sharpen well, and provide a smooth application. Last but most important, the Staedtler customer service is outstanding. They demonstrate that they value their customers through clear and steadfast actions. Regrettably, I cannot say that about Amazon. After extensive experience indulging in an embarrassing amount of colored pencil set purchases from professional artist quality to hobby brands, I have learned that the problems regarding colored pencil damage with quality brand names is due to Amazon’s negligence in shipping these fragile and breakable items in thin plastic bags even after numerous repeated requests to pack and ship appropriately. It is interesting to note that I ordered a set of 24 count Amazon colored pencils for $2.99 and they arrived triple wrapped in bubble wrap, packed in a thick strong protective carton and shipped in a second carton with some paper as a cushion. Contrarily, every other set of colored pencil sets I received, including Caran d’ Ache, Prismacolor, Derwent, Faber-Castell and all others were shipped in thin plastic envelopes.

I cannot say enough great things about these colored pencils♡♡♡♡♡♡ These have to be my all time favorite. I love the way I feel in your hand since they are not round , they have the edges on thm. They Also have a slightly rubbery feel coating on the outside of the pencil Which makes it easy to hold onto them. They sharpen wonderfully!!! They do not break much , and if they do, they sharpen right back up. The pigment is great! It is easy to use and make your colors dark or light. They don't smudge , unless you want them to. These are my favorite go to pencils!!!!!!

I liked these pencils overall. Nice price point, package arrived undamaged. To me, the pencils had an almost waxy feel when coloring. I found them smooth and the pencils colors were easy to blend. Erasing was a bit of a challenge on some of the colors. If there is a negative to these it is that one pencil had the lead jut through the pencil, and two of the pencils in the batch could not be sharpened - having tried with my Prismacolor, Staedtler, M&R, and a few other sharpeners. I would say otherwise these are just fine for coloring. I do like that these last long and do not seem to wear down as quickly as some other pencils I have used. Overall I give a 4 out of 5 for these.

The best colored pencils and the markers are the best, too. I got those also.

These obviously aren't artist quality but for their price I'm pleasantly surprised. They're not scratchy on the paper and they do let you blend colors more than expected. My one complaint is that they weren't sharpened properly by the manufacturer and I had to sharpen all of them before using them. One of the 72 pencil's wood cracked when sharpening but that's not a serious concern for me.

BUYERS BEWARE These pencils are poor product. They brake everytime, no matter how soft the pressure you apply. Also they brake half the time while sharpening them.

I prefer prismacolor premier and faber castle goldfaber. Breaks easily. Satin color. Doesnt make a solid color. Blending not possible.

Os lápis na minha opinião são maravilhosos. Bem pigmentados, a mina da caixa de 48 cores é de 3mm, e a da lata é de 4mm. Comprei primeiro a caixa de 48, gostei muito e comprei a lata de 72. Essa lata é maravilhosa linda demais. Me surpreendi de modo positivo sobre esses lápis.

UPDATE: These were purchased to teach an art class for students who did not have the supplies. The ONLY complaint is this set does not include WHITE. It's not a big game changer. It's easy and cheap to order white pencils. I've been using Staedtler products for YEARS! They provide a very good quality and range of products. I have used markers, watercolor pencils and more. Even erasers. Staedtler is a product you can count on no matter the product. You can't beat the price for a decent set of colored pencils especially if you are a beginner. Staedler is a well known brand often high quality. I purchased these to teach an art class. Nice tin container as well.
