I purchased the Breeze Stop insulation kit after installing my Midea AC unit. My main reason for purchasing it was to work in conjunction with the air conditioner by sealing the gaps and adding insulation around the top and side panels, helping the unit operate more effectively and efficiently. Installation was very easy and only took a few minutes. After I finished, I noticed that I could still see a small amount of daylight underneath my AC unit, so I used some of the leftover foam to seal that gap as well. Not only does the kit add another layer of insulation around the AC, but I was also pleasantly surprised by how nice the finished installation looks! It has a clean, seamless appearance and looks like it was made specifically for my window and AC unit rather than something I added afterward. I am extremely happy with this purchase. The directions were easy to follow, installation was simple, and it made a noticeable improvement to the overall installation. If you take your time, measure carefully, and follow the instructions, you should have no problem installing it. It only takes a few minutes, but the finished result makes such a difference. I would absolutely purchase it again! (i’ve included before and after photos)

This is the one of those things that you buy just to check and see if it will work, then use it and immediately order more! I used to use duct tape to seal the ACs in the windows every summer and my husband hated it because it ripped off the paint on the trim, forcing him to touch it up every fall. Problem solved now! Not only that, but I’ve noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in preventing drafts because the padding is so thick and insulated! Keeps out tiny bugs that got in too! The instructions that were included were very easy to follow, though you really should take your time and do it carefully because if you over-cut the material, the whole thing is useless. So always overcut by a couple millimeters and you can always smush it in or trim it with a sharp utility knife. The adhesive is very strong, haven’t any issues with that. We have five AC units altogether, each one a different size, so I bought these because the size could be customized and they really do fit any type of unit. I honestly can’t praise these enough. So happy I tried them!

These work and the tighter you can make them without oversizing your cuts, the happier you will be. They do bow a little if you cut them too long which defeats the purpose of using them to stop airflow, so get the cut right and you'll absolutely love them. You can't just tap them down if you cut them long, because the plastic is a little firm. Which is kind of a good thing really.

I needed something to keep the cold area out of my bedroom so I purchased this insulation kit. Overall it was easy to install and did exactly what it promised. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: 1. Very easy to cut and install. The foam insulation fit very snug in place. Tip: cut slightly bigger than what you measured. 2. The top strip fit just perfect I did not have to cut it to custom fit. 3. The temperature in my room went from 63 degree F to 68 F after installing this kit. The temp outside was 41 F and the thermostat on my house was set to 69 F. 4. It did the job and looks good in the window. I was worried it would look tacky but it doesn’t. Cons: 1. Poor instructions. It doesn’t make clear where the tape side of the insulation is supposed to do. Meaning do you stick it to the unit or the wall. When I first applied the left side I stuck the adhesive side to the unit. When I did the right side I found that applying it to the wall/window was a better. Also for the top piece it wasn’t clear if the 3M side of tape was meant to go on the window or attached to the side pieces. (The top piece has 2 pieces of adhesive. I applied the 3M side to the window. 2. The tape is not very strong but I’m confident it will won’t come apart. For the price it should come with extra double sided adhesive. 3.The foam insulation comes pre cut. One for each side of the unit . my unit is not perfectly center and so I had to cut the width in order to fit on the right side. But the width was slightly too small for the left side I needed more width on the left side. It would be better if they gave you one large foam piece and let you cut the two pieces to the sizes you need. However with the extra that I had left over I was able to cut a piece to go under the bottom part of my unit. There was a draft coming from that area but I was able to seal that off. None of the cons are deal breaker and overall I think it’s a little pricey but I got my monies worth!
