McAlpine V33WM Twin Connector 2 x 1½ Compression Inlets, Multifit 1½"/40mm Outlet, 135° Swivel Nozzles

We have just moved into a house with a utility room, it needed the plumbing adapting so we could fit a washer and a dishwasher but there was only one cold feed and one standpipe with a u bend. I bought and fitted a brass splitter for the cold feed issue, I got it from Amazon. It was really advertised for splitting a garden tap onto two hoses. A bit of plumbers tape on all three threads and it works great, not a drip at all. The standpipe was the bog standard Type but covered in emulsion, cleaned the off an recut the top properly square. Cleaned off the burs. Fitted the McAlpine on top(made sure top of pipe was in excess of two feet(60cm) high.Tightened it onto pipe and nipped up the brackets to ensure pipe well fastened to wall. The pipe is vertical. Pushed washer waste pipe onto one horn (made sure it was very well seated) Pushed the dishwasher waste onto other horn (dishwasher waste tube was slightly larger than washer tube but horns are multi thickness so a good fit for both. Nipped up nuts on both horns for best angle to avoid pipes from nearby combi boiler. The McAlpine works great, no leaks and even my ham fists didn't cause a problem. The item is very well designed, I worried about the previous bad reviews and the possibility of the vent hole leaking. I looked at the item when it arrived and it was obvious that the waste water enters the horn, into the waste pipe and is deflected down. The vent hole at the top is like the small end of a funnel which totally prevents the water splashing up but provides the necessary air hole to stop a reverse syphon back to either machine. All in all a good bit of kit if used on a standard stand pipe with a u bend. It is not designed to be fitted on its side or in a sink waste, but why would you do that?

Bf writing this review eds up Son!! Bought in May so used 2 1/2 months ish now and had 0 issues, the only niggle is when using washing up liquid the suds push back up the pipe & through the blow hole in a bubble shower. Had to also super glue the nozzles once into position as kept popping their sockets with tension from the overflow hoses. We needed to use both washers at the same time to which this has proven spot on thus far. Most likely blue tack the blow hole see what happens about the suds, my guess "NOWT" part from alorra less Sudds on my cupboard floor hopefully. Easy to plumb in really happy I bought this nifty nozzle. Many thanks saved a lot of hassle great buy!! Update 5/10/21. Stuck some Bluetack int hole and no more mess or dramas so far, everywhere dry and staying dry so happy days eh!!

A good product, I wish I had known about this earlier as I've had to put up with a bulky, mismatch of waste pipes for a long time. This is compact and much smaller than I had been using, very easy to use and install. Ok, now onto the pipe size, the product has a 40mm pipe connection, if like me and you have old waste pipe of 38mm, then you need to be careful how you fit this product. It will fit snug if you tighten the connection as tight as you can, using plummers tape can help (although I didn't need too), I've had no leaks to date. If you are thinking 'why didn't I just replace the old pipe?' The reason being it would of meant removing the whole waste pipe system, including the kitchen sink waste as all the connections were the old glue together ones and I must add that I didn't do this catastrophic pipework.

We have a built in cupboard for our washing machine & tumble dryer. Machine on bottom, dryer above on shelf. The instructions for the condenser dryer say it can be plumbed into the waste. Doing away with having to empty to reservoir draw. This meant we needed another waste trap next to the washing machine one. So I ordered this twin trap. Fitted in minutes straight on top of the 40mm pipe coming up from the U-bend behind the washing machine. The washing machine waste pushed on tight with no leakes. The dryer waste pipe could be fed/pushed straight inside the second trap. But I drilled a 10mm hole through the waste blank that came with the kit. Giving a tighter fit to the dryer waste tube so it couldn't slide out. No leaks from any of the joints, but mine are wrapped in PTFE tape, as I always do. So I can't comment on it without tape. As for the breather hole in the top to help prevent vacuum blockages. Should I get any smells from this I'll seal it with silicone. If you need the traps side ways, I'd say try something else designed for that or be ready to seal the breather hole with silicone.

Got this. As we keep getting an air lock. That slows the water flow. This is ment to correct the problem. It did. Fix the problem. Water flowed perfect. But. Water also comes out of the air vent and. Ends up on the floor wall. And. Almost. Onto The electric socket that the washer plug s in to. It's a good idea but not fit for the job. It needs a slight redesign. Poss fit the washer pipes. Lower. So the water level is lowered away from the air vent

Ideal for the dishwasher and washing machine. Worth the price!

Given one star so people read this and maybe avoid buying it if not suitable for their needs. If you have a vertical waste pipe, 40mm, with a water trap / U-bend below, then this is absolutely fine and for that I would give it 5 stars. It comes with plugs so if you only want to connect one device, that's fine too. If you need to use it on a horizontal waste pipe, or connect it under your sink into existing plumbing at some angle, it won't do the job. There is an air vent hole in the middle top of the unit, so it must be mounted onto a vertical pipe exactly as shown in the picture. If you need to connect the waste outlet under a sink, B&Q have a "Floplast double nozzle trap" and also a single nozzle version.

We have a single waste pipe set up in our kitchen for our washing machine. We had just installed a dishwahser and obviously did not want to create another waste pipe going out (which is the norm). Saw this and decided to go for it. We are so glad we did! We now have both the washing machine and dIshwasher attached to this connector, both machines work brilliantly, using the same waste disposal. Very easy installation, no tools or clippers needed at all, we hand tightened them and presto! I would highly recommend this if you need two waste systems going through a single outlet.

Facile da installare, non ci vogliono utensili.comodo il fatto che i 2 tubi di scarico,sono orientabili a 360gradi. Il diametro é 40mm.

Non conforme à la descriptiln

Con solo una foto y una descripción tan pobre puede que no sepas lo que estás comprando. Yo lo quería para desagüe de dos lavadoras pero no vale porque tiene una agujero en el centro. Añado foto para que otros no les pase lo que a mi. Le hago el trabajo al anunciante.

Habe einen doppelten Abflußadapter gesucht, der in einem Neubau an den geschraubten Abfluß mit einem einfachen Anschluß passt. Im Umkreis hatten sämtliche bekannten Baumärkte keinen entsprechenden Adapter im Programm. Der Schraubanschluß war im Durchmesser stets zu klein. Also habe ich den McAlpine Adapter gekauft, obwohl keine Größenangabe für die Überwurfmutter angegeben war. Der Adapter ist sehr gut verarbeitet und passt 100 % an das vorhandene Abflußrohr. In den zweiten Anschluß habe ich den dünnen Abflußschlauch eines älteren Miele Kondenstrockners hineingesteckt, weil der Innendurchmesser zum Aufstecken zu klein war. Anschließend habe ich den Anschluß mit selbstverschweißendem Gummiband umwickelt. Ich bin mit dem Adapter sehr zufrieden und kann ihn nur empfehlen.
