I picked this up because it is USB IF certified and that gave me confidence it would perform as stated. My work involves moving large files frequently and this cable has been put through its paces. It appears to hit the speeds advertised and transfers have been quick and consistent. The build is solid and in line with what I expect from Amazon Basics. It has worked reliably across different devices without problems. Overall it does exactly what I bought it for. Certified, dependable, and good value.

I have bought a Canon 1Dx mk3, the latest Canon camera. For some (idiotic?) reason Canon have not only failed to supply a USB cable to attach the camera to a PC, they dont yet even manufacture a cable to do the job. After much research to what the out put interface on the camera is (Canon people are so clever, they dont tell you what interface they are now building in to the camera!), I bought this cable. The good news is that the cable works pefectly wih my PC and Canon's EOS Utility to download images. The bad news is that the cable doesnt work with the EOS Utility to download images onto my Microsoft Surface Pro, although I can download using Windows software. Overall, then, the cable works and I think its Canon that has a problem.

This is a robust thick cable that is very well made and works well. Excellent value. Recommended.

These leads work fine and fast charge our Samsung phones. Like most leads they can become intermittent after several months but they work well and they are well made.

Why is it so hard to just get a cable to charge your phone? There is just too much choice, a lot of the 3rd party no name cables seem good value, but the reviews just aren't that great. The branded cables are overpriced. Luckily, Amazon are to the rescue with an Amazon Basics cable. My number one fear of any cable or charger I buy is that it'll fry my device or burn my house down whilst I sleep, I trust Amazon to provide a product that won't do that. The cable is well built, reliable and not expensive. I use this to charge my phone at work from my PC and it does that job well. 0.9m is the perfect length to reach from the back of my docking station to the phone in front of it. Pros Inexpensive Good build quality (but....) Trusted brand Cons Cable feels like it's good quality, but because of that it's reall stiff. The cable is quite thick and doesn't have much flexibility from the off.

Worked well but charging is slow in car or at home.

Thanks to this cable I'm close to the advertised 800MB/s speeds of my SanDisk external SSD, according to the disk benchmark utility. I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. It's a thick cable, the shielding must be good. It's rigid, as expected, but I'd rather have that than a weak cable prone to transfer losses. According to the Linux command "lsus -t" 10GB/s is indeed the negotiated speed!

Writing this review after 3 days of usage. In terms of quality USB connectors and plastics are really good, but insulation rubber quality can be improved. Data transfer speed is as expected, i was getting around 100-110 MB/s on HDD and 150-210 MB/s on SSD, although it's vary device to device. Charging speed is a bit on slower side. Though Amazon claims upto 3A but i got maximum 1.5A on my OnePlus 6T.

I picked up this Amazon Basic USB C cord hoping it would help with mu connectivity issues. Turns out it was exactly what I needed. My car radio had stopped working with my phone and I was convinced something else was wrong. I blamed the radio, the phone, software updates, and probably a few invisible gremlins too. After way too much trial and error, I decided to swap out the cable for one that was meant for both charging and data transfer. Instant fix. Everything worked perfectly again. The cable feels solid and well made, like it can handle daily use without falling apart. This whole experience taught me that not all cords are created equal. Some are mostly for charging and others actually handle data the way they are supposed to. Even a cable that used to work can quietly become the weak link. Bottom line, this Amazon Basic cable fixed all my issues and restored my car setup back to normal. Simple purchase, big difference. Would definitely buy again. FYI...I made other reviews like this because I ordered multiple different brands hoping one would fix my issues.
