Simple to use and reassuring to have
Easy to use with clear instructions and quick results. The kit was well packaged and straightforward to complete at home. Helpful for extra peace of mind while waiting for medical appointments or further checks. Good quality and easy to understand overall.

Don't be afraid to find out
COULD BE A LIFE SAVER. I purchased this because I kept being told by the doctors I had IBS and I was worried about appearing to be a hypochondriac. For some reason the NHS don't supply these routinely to patients in their fifties. The procedure for doing the test needs a bit of thinking through and preparation. No need to alter you normal eating routine just make arrangements to catch your waste product without it dropping into the toilet (i'm sure you can find your own way of doing this). The instructions for testing the waste are straight forward and easy to follow. The beauty of the test is that you get the results in five minutes. No waiting for the doctor to release your results (when they get around to it) and no costly consultants if you decide to go private. The worst part is actually wondering what to do with a positive result. The thing to remember is that bowl cancer is one of the easiest to beat if caught early. It's also possible that you get a positive result if you have haemorrhoids and even if the blood comes from polyps it's not necessarily cancer. So be brave and if you get a positive result don't panic but do go and see the doctor to get further tests. I know this is not something anyone wants to do but it's extremely important to catch anything early so I'm doing this annually. Oh, and sorry to all my good friends over 50 but you are probably getting one of these kits as a birthday present from me from now on!

Easy to use
For me these tests were accurate and I had no issues with using the tests. All results positive or negative should be followed up with your GP if you’re worried. As someone has written 3 tests over 3 days to check. Reassuring as a first test.

It may well have saved my life for £12
Have been suffering abdominal pains all summer, went to the Doctors and was diagnosed with a Hernia and referred to a specialist. Specialist couldn't find anything and referred me for a further scan. I wasn't happy with this as I knew something was wrong. Came across this test and I thought why not it's only £12. Doing the test wasn't pleasant but it was simple. Results were easy to interpret. It came back positive. Armed with this I went back to my doctors who informed me this was the test they used for screening for over 50s (I'm 49), he immediately took me seriously and referred me for a Colonoscopy. This found a growth. On Monday it was confirmed as Bowel Cancer. From taking the test to getting a diagnosis took 3 weeks. It's in the early stages and I should be able to get away with just an operation. I'm fortunate it was caught early and my long term outlook is good. I can't praise this product highly enough, others are probably fine but I can't speak for them.

Reliable peace of mind
During a colonoscopy when I was 34, they found a few polyps, some of which adenomas. I am on 5 year intervals to check for more. As my dear grandmother, one of the cutest, sweetest, and caring grandmothers ever existed, passed away due to bowel cancer, and my sweet, lovely, caring, amazing wonderful mum tragically passed away following an adverse response to her second round of chemo for bowel cancer last year, I am quite confident this disease will get me also, as I have my mum's genes. I was having a change in stool for a while, and some, what appeared to be, cycle-based, intense pains, and was not sure if it was ovary or bowel related. Defecation was very painful at times and bearing in mind my family's history, I did not feel comfortable with the wait time of another 2 years to my next colonoscopy. My GP was not very forthcoming with the stool test I requested so I decided to order this one. The day it arrived, I got a call from the GP to pick up a test. I did both tests at once. If you are unsure how to stop your stool from getting wet or disappearing into your toilet, you can order nifty pulp bed pans on Amazon. I placed one over my toilet seat and it fitted perfectly. Makes it very easy and stress free to do a number 2 in. Anyway, both tests done at the same time, the result for this test was immediate and came out clear. Ideal opportunity to test it's reliability with the GP supplied test, which results came back 2 weeks later. Clear. I am very confident I will be using these tests every year, in between the colonoscopies I will need. I am sad I did not realise you could buy these tests yourself because I feared my mum would get bowel cancer a year before she got it and even queried my mums (and mine) GP about the fact her National Health Care Bowel Cancer Screening test (NL) hadnt come yet but my dad had been tested twice in the previous years. Her test did not arrive by mail until 1 day after she passed away (I swear, it was horrifying). So yeah, I do trust this test. I think it might save quite a few people from needless suffering. And I am thankful it exists. Edited November 2020; ordered one for this year and results came back clear again. I am confident these results are correct. It gives peace of mind knowing I can go on for another year until my colonoscopy is due in 2021. Bearing in mind how obscenely crap non-covid related health care is at the moment, I am relieved such tests exist. Thank you, very much.

Good test
I had my NHS fit test so I took a self check test as well. Self check came back negative. I did another 2 over a two day period and both were negative. As someone also said it was a good idea to do this. I got my NHS results back this morning and happy to say negative. Would definitely use this again.

I bought this because I wanted to
I had some trouble and didn't fancy sending some brown stuff off to be analysised. The price was decent and it was easy to use although it was a bit discusting to use, not the products fault of course. It was a lot like a lateral flow covid test. The only difference in use was instead of putting the stick up your beak and in your throat. You poked a bit of your p** with it. Then the process was the same as a lateral flow covid test. I got piece of mind that I didn't have something wrong with my hoop. P.s wear gloves.

Quick and easy test
I am turning 60 in September but I did not want to wait for the NHS test kit (sent to all people from 60 years and over). In the manual it says that most bowel tumors grow from polyps and that it is best to check 'annually' if polyps are present . The test checks if blood is present in the stool because polyps can bleed. Doing this annual check gives peace of mind because polyps can easily be removed.
