I’ve been taking Alflorex Original daily for just over a year now, and I can honestly say it’s made a massive difference. After years of dealing with unpredictable digestion, bloating, and general gut weirdness, this has brought some much-needed balance. The key ingredient here is Bifidobacterium longum 35624, and while the name sounds like something from a sci-fi film, the results are very real. It’s subtle—don’t expect overnight fireworks—but within a couple of weeks I started noticing fewer bloated days, more regularity, and just an overall calmer gut. No dramatic side effects either, which is always a plus. I particularly like that it’s just one capsule a day, no refrigeration needed, and no long list of unnecessary extras—just the bacterial strain that works. It also fits easily into my daily routine. Packaging is clear and professional, and I appreciate the science-led approach rather than the usual overhyped probiotic claims. This one's backed by proper clinical research. I suffer from IBS with Diarrhoea (diagnosed by a doctor who could only recommend I try the FODMAPS diet) and it really, really gets me down. I've tired lots of different products but only BioKult ever made any difference at all, but the effect was pretty slight. I've actually tried this product before but I took it for a month with no effect and so gave up. However my IBS has been so bad in 2020, probably aggravated with stress with lockdown, that I read about it again and decided I will give it another try and stick with it for more than a month this time. I'm very glad I did. Again after taking it for a month I saw no difference at all, but I ordered a second months supply and when those had almost run out, I noticed a steady and significant improvement. By the time I started my third month the effects really were kicking in, with them kicking in to full effect in about 10 weeks. Now I have been on them steadily for four months, I still have IBS but the Diarrhoea aspect, which I found the worst part of it, has almost been eliminated. Since the full effects came in at about 10 weeks, I have has six weeks without a single episode of diarrhoea - I used to get at least two episodes a week and often a lot more, and I took Imodium a lot. Since then I haven't needed a single dose of Imodium and I've only had one episode in six weeks which was, not to be too graphic, only almost diarrhoea and was when I had eaten too much of the wrong foods which would normally have given me real problems. Otherwise, not a single episode and I haven't taken an Imodium tablet in at least six weeks, maybe longer. I still have other IBS symptoms but they are slightly milder and the diarrhoea aspect, which was the worst one, is virtually eliminated. It is expensive at almost £25 for a months supply and it's rarely on offer, and I can't guarantee it will work for anyone, but I would recommend if you're desperate for something which will considerably improve, though not cure, your IBS with diarrhoea, it's worth ordering at least two months supply and taking it religiously in line with the instructions. I saw an improvement after six weeks and the maximum benefit in 10 weeks, so I would give this at least 8 weeks before you decide they aren't for you.

Noticeable improvement would recommend trying even if expensive

Been on alflorex for 5 months now recommended by my dietician. I had my gallbladder removed 2019 and have never been the same, my digestion stopped me eating and I lost a lot of weight due to being scared to eat from the pain food seem to give me which in turn led to me being diagnosed with IBS Constipation. I've had scans, cameras, hospital trips nothing worked until my dietician mentioned these tablets. Within 1 month on being alflorex I noticed a huge difference in my digestion, less bloating, less pain, I can eat some things now I wouldn't have ever thought I would again, I can now go to the toilet, and my mental health has improved also. I come off them for 2 weeks and I noticed straight away, pain started again, bloating, constipation and just generally felt unwell so I went straight back on them and will continue to take them now. I cannot live without them. I wish the price was cheaper, (cost of living) but apart from that they are fantastic and are helping me live.

Am really unsure why they feel they can jack up the price so much near doubled over 18 months Will find a suitable alternative

This product has given improvement for my IBS along with my daily routine. I didn't expect much from another probiotic but was given a sample by my hospital dietician. In the first month I notice not experiencing tummy upsets or bloating as much. I notice better daily bowel movements and tummy tenderness lessened. I will continue to use these and have purchased on subscribe and save 2 bottles for my daughter and I.

It keeps me regular and that’s a must !

Unfassbar! Ich bin kein Werbeträger der Firma und habe 20 Jahre alles geschluckt, was gegen Reizdarm wirken soll! Bei diesem Medikament setzte nach 3 Tagen die Verbesserung ein und jetzt, nach 3 Wochen, ist es fast wie früher! Ich kann es noch nicht glauben, aber bei mir perfekte Wirkung! Bin extrem dankbar!!!!
