Melts wood away but too dangerous!
I'm giving this grinder wheel 5 out of 5 stars because it absolutely melts away wood. I've been working a very large cherry log (green) to make a huge bowl. I removed the guard on my angle grinder because it was impeding the depth of the bowl. This grinder is more efficient than other grinders I've experimented with. Here's the problem: it's so dangerous! Even though I'm trying to take small amounts, it bucks. It bucks for reasons I don't understand and it's violent! Recently, it bucked so hard, it hit my clamp and then twisted and cut my hand. I had to throw the grinder away from me as it was a wild, bouncing killing machine. As much as I've enjoyed working on this project, I'm starting to think it's not worth the danger. Furthermore, it shoots fine dust EVERYWHERE in every direction. I use eye protection, respiratory, and hearing protection. It still shoots wood directly under the glasses and into my eyes constantly. I'm looking into Arbortech.

Short work of small stumps, but be careful…
Works great for grinding down small stumps. I cut down a couple of tall hollies and left about 4” diameter stumps. Took less than 5 minutes each to grind them ground level or below. To echo what others have said, this thing can get away from you. Play with your angles to reduce kickback. Put the side handle back on your grinder, you’ll need it. I found working with the right side of the tool throwing the sawdust back to me worked best. You just want the kick back to take it away from you instead of towards you. Will definitely use it again, just realize it acts much different than a grinding wheel against steel.

This tool is great.... BUT....
This tool will grind wood like nobody's business... But the steel is VERY soft. While grinding old tree limbs that grew into chainlink fence I touched the fence & dulled the tool. It may have come in contact with the fence 2-3 times. If you know your only grinding wood, you'll probably be ok.

Sharp. Great value.
These Discs are great! Very sharp, they move a lot of wood. I’m not sure of the longevity as I’ve only used twice. Compared to my last dealer, I get 2 discs for the price of one. Give them a try!

Durability price
This tool works great on wood projects. The grinder definitely does it job. The blade is not sharp in your hand but when it’s working it’s unbelievable what it can do.

Great tool for small to medium stumps
Cuts right through small stumps. If you need to shave off a few inches of a stump <12 inches in diameter this is your tool. Removes stump material at the rate similar to a rough sander down below grade level. For larger stumps it wouldn’t be an effective use of time, but I’ve already used this tool to remove almost 2 dozen stubborn small stumps on my property that have hung around for a few years since being cut down. Would highly recommend.

Brutally Effective—And Just as Dangerous
This thing is a beast. It'll take off wood, knuckles, and fingers without hesitation. I used it on a timber cabin project, and it chewed through the job in minutes—what usually takes hours or days was done fast and clean on my M18 Milwaukee Angle Grinder. But here’s your warning: wear eye protection—chips and dust fly everywhere. Use a respirator or mask to avoid breathing in the fine particles. Thick leather gloves are a must, but even then, if you catch a knot or lose control, you’re at risk. This tool doesn’t forgive mistakes. It’s awesome and efficient, but also dangerous. Respect it. Always work with the direction of the spin, never against it. Photos: Two custom pieces that I had to sculpt to fit into place

Removes wood fast!
Works great so far with my angle grinder. Vicious blade and pretty scary to use but rips through wood with ease.
