Paperback Oxford Large Print Dictionary

I haven't found a dictionary anywhere with this large font except amazon. Honestly its exceptional for the price. Quire a tricky hefty book but font size superb for my elderly mum. She is so happy with it. Fabulous

Very happy with this purchase.

It was great to actually be able to use a dictionary properly. I wish I had bought the bound book ,instead of the paperback version. The paper is actually a bit downmarket. The content though is fascinating. The dictionary is in constant use alongside Scrabble. How standards have slipped in English grammar since my last dictionary purchase ( 1982 ). So many words have dropped out of the English Language, no wonder young people haven no idea what I am talking about.

My eyes are just starting to go and it’s always a bit of a strain to read anything without good lighting. Not this dictionary, however! It’s ridiculously pleasing to open it up and to just be able to read the massive words! Lol! Also great as a teaching tool as I can put it under the visualiser and the class can also see the dictionary clearly on the whiteboard. Best buy ever!

Very pleased exactly what I wanted

This is the second one that I ordered as the first one has scuffs all over it, dented edges and weird pink marks on it. This one arrived in exactly the same condition despite both of them supposedly being ‘new’. This is meant to be a gift for someone and I’m not happy with how tatty and used it looks but I don’t have time to keep sending things back so will have to keep this one!

Second purchase of a “New” book covered in scuffs and dents. Waste of time.

i bought this dictionary for my 9 year old son. He wanted to move from the illustrated dictionaries to somewhat that contains all words he encounters doing homework. I was very delighted: all the words he needs are there, the explanations are perfect for his level of language knowledge and the font helps him avoiding dizziness. I recommend this dictionary.

The text is not that big unfortunately, I am visually impaired and it’s hard to see still. I like paper books:) rather than using a digital book.

Diccionario de inglés, impreso en papel tipo periódico y letras grandes (“large print”), indica su tipo (“noun/verb/adj…”) y trae la definición básica de cada palabra, sin muchas explicaciones ni tampoco ejemplos… Libro de tamaño medio, edición aceptable, con una buena cantidad de palabras aunque muy pocos ejemplos de pronunciación o variantes. Especialmente indicada para personas con la visión cansada o alguna dificultad de lectura, ya que además de grandes, la tipografía se lee claramente y las definiciones son claras y concisas, ideal para revisar conceptos o aclarar confusiones, adecuado para un estudio a nivel medio del idioma. Dentro de la línea de Oxford Press, a un coste equilibrado.
