46L Rectangular Pedal

Perfect size. Simple pedal design with a soft close lid. Lids locks open for easy emptying. Even comes with free sample bin liners. The two bins are the perfect size compromise for the amount of space it takes up and the volume of trash/recycling it will hold. The best bit is the Simplehuman bin liners. They fit perfectly, they’re strong, and they’re cheap. I ordered refills from the Simplehuman website and they arrived post free for less than I can buy standard liners from the supermarket. The bin itself is beautiful quality. You like German engineering? This is right up there. Good, no, great quality stainless steel outer skin and lid, resists finger marks and wipes clean in an instant. The pedal mechanism is reassuringly robust and it just works. Not many things are teenager proof but they haven’t managed to kill this yet after a year. The base has wheels at the back for easy maneuvering in tight spaces. The lid fits perfectly so no smells creep out overnight to stink out your kitchen. The plastics are kept to a minimum but what is used is super high quality and shows no sign of wear. One wipe with a damp microfiber cloth and it looks brand new again. Very smart design that will look great in even the most high class kitchens. 6 stars all round.

Absolutely love our bin. Have had ours for around 2 months now and no issues. We also enjoyed using the bags that come complimentary with the purchase but the bin easily fits all other bags as well. The fingerprint-proof technology has definitely proven itself, the bin has been easy to maintain and the pedal has not broken, doesn't scratch the floor and is very gentle. We are so happy with this purchase, although most people don't think much of buying bins, it does add a nice touch to the kitchen. It is a little pricey, but I've been through many kitchen bins before moving from houses and rentals and I can say it is worth it if you want something that is of great quality, will last and adds to the look of your kitchen.

I got fed up with recycling being left on the kitchen counter waiting to be carried out to the recycling bin outside. Then the kitchen bin we already had broke. It was time to get a better bin that would last longer and keep the kitchen a bit tidier. I chose this 46L dual model for it's large capacity and dual buckets for standard waste and recycling. I wish there was a slightly larger 50L version with the extra capacity given to the smaller bucket, but they don't make it and this was as close as I could get to my 'dream bin'!! The stainless steel finish looks good, and I haven't noticed any fingerprints in the last week since we got it - partly because the pedal means you don't have to touch it anyway! The soft-close lid is a good bonus and the whole pedal and lid construction seems robust and well made. It's tested to last the equivalent of 20 steps a day for 20 years, excellent longevity. We're really pleased with this item, it looks smart, works well and should last a long time.

We recently moved from a house where the kitchen had a fitted bin unit in an under-counter unit. The new house didn't so we needed something stylish and practical to take over... My main concern was: will it be big enough? So many bins are tiny, and need frequent emptying. Also - would it be robust enough to take the constant use that goes on in our household. First of all, I bought this through an offer on Amazon Warehouse and got it for under £100. I think at its recommended retail price it's over the top: but paying about £80 didn't seem exorbitant. Unlike some other buyers, it didn't have any dents in it, so we could start to use it straightaway. For two adults (no kids) it's about right size, I reckon. Needs empyting about once every three days - more at weekends. The pedal/lid action is smooth, no noise, and the slow-close is a nice touch. Getting the bins in and out can be tricky when they're full, but it's not impossible. So - overall, yes, I'm pleased we payed what we did: but I certainly wouldn't have wanted to pay more! Being able to position the bin right up against the wall is a plus, as it means it takes up just a little less space. We don't use a liner for the recycling part, but we are currently using Simplehuman bags for the main bin: they seem not too expensive so I'll probably order more rather than making do with other bags that don't really fit. A good buy; good quality; stylish; easy to use. Bit expensive.

Great bin to assist splitting recycling. Looks good and great quality.

Impeccably packaged so there were no dings or dents on the metal finish during delivery. This is a replacement to an identical Simplehuman bin that I had for 10 years. I briefly replaced it when it broke with something cheaper from another company, but the pedal mechanism quality was just not good enough so I immediately ordered another Simplehuman. The split waste/recycling receptacles are robust and easy to tuck away the liners through the hole in the back. The metal finish stays remarkably fingerprint-free. My partner thinks I’m ridiculous to be as pleased as I am about a new bin, but what can I say, this bin is great and looks beautiful in my kitchen. I have no doubt that it will also last me another 10 years!

This really is a great addition to my kitchen. Looks fantastic... saves me having to take every carton and bottle downstairs one by one. It actually takes quite a lot of stuff; I put paper in the large container and bottles and plastics in the small container. I'm an avid recycler and only have to empty it once every couple of days. Bin liners came with it; which I'm going to continue to use, so it stays looking beautiful! It's amazing quality.. (I've also bought the matching general rubbish bin and they look great together, really sleek and stylish!) the lids just drop down slowly and quietly, and no need to touch anything just use the foot pedal so never any fingerprints or greasy marks on it. Also, it doesn't fly open and hit my wall like my other bin did, so no marks on my walls where they're standing. Great design.. can't think of any negatives at all and all my friends have remarked on how stylish they look! Definitely recommend.

This item was purchased for a one bedroom flat and sits very well in the corner of the kitchen. It certainly looks the part and stands out as a professional premium item. I have found it to be easy to clean as both partitions can be easily removed and hand-washed and I do like the simple yet effective features present such as finger proofing, and lid lock. The bin comes with a selection of custom liners, ten each of the refuse and recycling varieties. Once these had been consumed I have found using cheaper, large white pedal-sacks from supermarkets to be just as effective. In my experience I would advise this bin is suited to a couple. Larger families will find filling this bin takes little effort otherwise. I would have also preferred the recycling partition to be a little bigger, I tend to find unless squashed, plastic bottles and cans very quickly fill it as it's quite narrow resulting in items being wedged. A small niggle to an otherwise fantastic product.

Me encanto, es igual que la foto. Creo que si es caro pero vale totalmente la pena, es muy sencillo separar la basura y le queda cualquier bolsa, sino quieres comprar las que requiere el bote, aunque después de utilizarlas son una buena opción. Se ve muy bien en la cocina y quedo perfecto en el espacio que tenia pensado.

キッチンにピッタリのサイズで永く使える丈夫な商品を探していました。 掃除も楽ですし蓋の開閉も静かで気に入りました。 私は大きい方に燃えるゴミを、小さい方にはビニールゴミを入れています。 ビニールゴミの方はもう少し大きいと良かったかな。。

Expenssive but it is a good bin.

見た目、大きさ的には私は申し分ありませんでしたが、かなり大きのは大きいです。 ただ、やはり海外メーカーの物なので、日本のゴミ袋の大きさに対応していない事、ゴミ袋を掛けるフックが無い事で、マイナス2の評価です。
