When Chris & Will Haughey started Tegu, they asked this question: Could we create a for-profit company based in Honduras that would foster a positive social impact through its business? And that’s just what we’re doing. We established our fully independent toy factory outside Tegucigalpa to make a statement: we’re in Honduras by choice and we’re here to stay. What makes your product special? We don’t see a difference between learning and playing. In fact, we believe that when a child plays their minds are opened to learn in new and exciting ways. So exciting, they don’t even know they are doing it! What has been the best part of your experience? We believe that every child possesses the ability to build, create, and imagine.
