Very good book to know the basics of markets (suitable for investors)
I lovee so much this book, I love it the way it explain things easy, clear, with pictures that illustrate the concepts. I love learning and learning by visuals I love it double, so delighted with it. This kind of book is for me like a present, having this, having access to this kind of material is... super great. Thank you to all the people that have made this book. Things like this make the world a better place, helping people to access the knowledge in a easy, visual and engaging way. For any one wanted to access concepts about markets, finance, money, monetary system, this is a very good start point Every explanation is clear, very good explained, the cash flow, interest rates This book is even suitable for traders and investors (my case), the section on International currency explains one of the core stone of the currency markets, which is interest rate rise leads an appreciation of the currency. The knowledge is not deep but is the fundamental concepts, the pillars of markets, so even for investors which want to regain fundamentals is a good book.

Excellent DK book
Fantastic book. Lots of relevant info for curious teens and maybe some young adults. Not dumbed down like a lot of books are nowadays. DK never fail to disappoint.

Very informative book presented in a simple format
This book is great, if you want to increase your knowledge and learn about the general inner workings of money this is a perfect place to start. The format and way this book is laid out with quirky drawings and explanations really do explain things in a different element and add that extra touch.

Reply to "Governments do not print money, privately owned central banks do." comment
Very misleading review. I have the book and nowhere they mention or imply that all central banks are owned by Governments. The ownership aspect of central banks is beyond the scope of this book and it does very well by explaining their role in monetary policies and stick to this. Lastly when the author of the review states "Central banks are privately owned, this is a fact." it is a pure lie as most central banks are actually owned by Governments. Two exceptions are the FED and Bank of Italy which are indeed privately own. For the rest they are either purely owned by governments (eg Bank of England) or a mixed ownership between Government-Private owners as in Switzerland.

I don't recommend reading on Kindle(paperwhite in my case), because each page is displayed kinda like an image, so there's no option to look up words or highlight sentences. Also the font size is very small. I recommend getting a physical copy, not the Kindle edition
