MitrePen SuperGlue Activator and Adhesive Pack

Wanted to join PLA printed parts from 3D printer, I had tried all kinds of glues and super glue none worked, so I did not have high expectations, how wrong was I. First of all the pack contains three 50g bottles of glue, so plenty for most jobs. Unlike super glues which often finish sticking to you fingers and most annoying sticking the top on the bottle. MitreBond is a two part glue so you can apply the liquid glue to one side without problems, the bottle has a nozzle allowing easy application, the activator is very similar to a large felt tip marker, simply wipe across the other side to be joined (it's like using an invisible marker) and then put the two parts together, hold together for a few seconds and you have a solid joint. I have used MitreBond to join several 3D models built in parts, allowing more detail the be printed accurately, also to join together parts to make models larger than I could print on my 3D printer bed. Great product, ideal for anyone building models and especially if you use a 3D printer.

Used this to stick a PLA 3D-printed part to a piece of Perspex. I had previously tried with some standard superglue but it did not stick at all. This, on the other hand, stuck firmly withing a few seconds! The glue is thicker than normal so the sufaces don't need to be perfectly flat for it to work. Quite apart from the fact that you get three 50g bottles (most bottles of superglue normally contain 15g or less), the activator pen provided makes the pack really good value. Highly recommended.

3 bottles of cyanacrylate glue and catalyst (activator) what's not to like. Used it to connect joints on kitchen unit pelmets and cornices. Extremely strong bond after a few seconds. Put the glue on one side of the joint and the catalyst on the other. Carefully align the two sections with 1-2 mm gap, when perfectly aligned push together and hold tightly for a few seconds. A word on the activator pen. The activator is n-methyl toluidine (a fishy smelling amine derivative). It is present at a low concentration in a methanol and ethanol solution. The alcohols are volatile and will evaporate quickly if the top of the pen is left off, so replace the pen cal immediately after using on each joints. Also store it upside down to keep the felt pen tip moist.

If you plan to use that huge tip activating marker for any delicate parts or tight spaces and cracks where you can only use drop of glue and pray for it to reach where you actually need it, you might need the extra MitreBond spray. The marker leaves very hard to see transparent trace that evaporates quickly and it's a bit tricky to know if the surface is well covered. It does the job though and the quick chemical reaction emmits good amount of heat. Good value for money as you get so much glue.

For years I have been using those small tubes you can pick up in the supermarket and never felt they did a good job. This glue is absolutly fantastic! Ignoring the accelerator pen just by its self this glue seems to set within 10 seconds giving you just enough time to finagle the item into position. With the pen it is near instant. And altho i have 3x50g of the glue its self in the not to distant future i will also be buying yet another bottle of glue just for the spray accelerant !

Used this adhesive successfully on various materials. Best adhesive I've found for acrylic. Be aware, that if you use the activator, you don't get much time to correct misalignment. For trickier jobs, I didn't use the activator. It took longer to set but the end result was similar. It's the only adhesive I'll use from now on.

Previously I used the glue and spray Mitre Glue but the spray does go everywhere. The pen and glue method is a much cleaner process, the hardener pen is much more accurate than the spray method. Very pleased with this product. it will probably work out more cost effective in the long run too.

Tut was es soll. Geklebte Teile haften durch den Aktivator Pen wirklich schnell aneinander. Die Verschlusskappe der Flaschen ist so gestaltet, dass ein verkleben verhindert wird. Zumindest hatte ich bisher keine Probleme damit.

Used this to bond a granite counter to a base cabinet. Very clean, no overspray with the new pen. Shipping took a while from Canada, but I chose the cheapest shipping. It was recommended by several professional cabinet installers.

Der Beschleunigerstift funktioniert hervorragen. Eine Seite anpinseln, kleber dünn auf den andere Seite verteilen, zusammen bringen und gleich ist fest. Es macht den Arbeiten mit Sekundenkleber viel angenehmer.
