I have problems with a wheat allergy and I am also sensitive to some soaps and other perfumed products. I had been using an Aveda shampoo but my scalp had been dry and itchy for about 3 months. I decided to try Free and Clear shampoo and found that within 3 weeks my scalp was feeling healthy and free from dandruff. The Free and Clear Conditioner is non-greasy and it leaves my hair soft and shiny. Would definitely recommend for anyone with sensitive skin to try this product.

So far I am loving these. I needed something gentle for my hair as I ended up with a case of postpartum seborrheic dermatitis. I am using these in conjunction with a medicated shampoo that treats the yeast component of the issue and both are helping my skin barrier restore itself so I can put this episode behind me. All in all my hair feels softer and less dry or stripped after I use them. I will continue to use this duo indefinitely as hair feels healthier without all of the harsh chemicals in standard shampoos. Would recommend.

I have suffered with an intensely sensitive scalp for 25 years making me prone to scalp dermatitis. I have tried so many shampoos over the years but none have been pure enough (even though they claim to be). However, this shampoo and conditioner is fantastic and I am so relieved to have found a product that does not irritate my sensitive scalp. I would highly recommend the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo gives a good clean, and conditioner smooths out tangles really well. Really very happy with both.

Helps with my psoriasis. Don’t expect a beautiful smell.... that’s why it’s perfect!

Foaming capabilities are good. Cleaning and removing oil residue.

Really pleased to have found this product. It cleans well, there’s no itching/irritation and leaves hair super soft with a nice sheen. Expensive, but worth every penny from a person intolerant to every chemical out there 😅

I have to say that I have only used product once and was a little bit disappointed. I have to use fragrance free products due to my allergies so I don’t get a great choice when it comes to shampoos. I have bobbed thick wavy blonde highlighted hair and when I put shampoo on at first it didn’t create much of a lather so I had to add quite a bit more in order to get this However like one of the other reviewers said my hair instantly went like a ball of straw! It was a tangled mess. I had to apply a load of the conditioner just so I could get a comb through it to rinse it properly. Unlike the shampoo I was impressed at how quickly the conditioner worked it’s magic to counteract the tangling properties of the shampoo and it left my hair smooth.

UPDATE>>>>>>>> I have Lupus and terrible skin sensitivities which can cause hives, sores, rashes and welts, which can lead to infections. Not fun. I have had to experiment for years but, have found these tips work for me..... F&C Shampoo, F&G Cream Rinse and F&G Hair Gel are perfect for people with allergies to just about anything and everything. The shampoo does clean so well it strips the natural oils from the hair so if you have dry, brittle and/or natural curly, frizzie hair add a small amount of the conditioner to the shampoo before lathering. You can also add a small amount of organic olive oil to the creme rinse if you have frizzy and/or dry hair. It tames the frizziest hair as well as leaving it very shiny. Adding abit of hair Gel helps keep it calm whilst you dry it, and then syle it, or let it air dry naturally. (My preference). About 3 years ago I discovered the combo of the conditioner, organic olive oil, and a bit of the Clear Hairstyling Gel all mixed together and massaged into my hair, left on for a few minutes then gently rinsed, leaving just a small residue really helps with the frizzies, dry, unmanageable hair. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Massaging your hair gently with a small amount of organic olive oil, leave on for a few minutes, and then a gentle rinse will help with breakage and with loss. If you do this every 2 weeks it should help with breakage due to brittle hair, and give you a stronger shaft of hair. But, I find if I use pure products from washing clothing, towels and sheets all separately and use washing: (Method, unscented), to drying: (unscented, unscented, chemical free) see: [...], therefore I use Seventh Generation Free and Clear Sheets in the dryer. I never mix articles like sheets with towels, or rougher fabrics with softer materials. (It will pill your softer materials and make then feel rough on the skin, especially sheets). I look for pure cotton materials for clothing, only. Doesn't have to be organic as long as they are ALWAYS prewashed prior to wearing. For sheets I do use a microfibre polyester, (I know, I know, but its softness is beyond anything I have found after going thru dozens of brands and styles of cotton sheets), and because I have blistering allergies to latex and all its little minions I can wear only latex free socks like Buster Browns. I use most of the F&C products but do not care for the skin cream. It gives me a rash. But them again, other than organic olive oil, which is a simple single natural ingredient, I have not found a single skin cream. to which my skin does not react, so I hope this helps anyone else out there with Lupus, or other immune diseases, and/or hyper sensitive skin.

I am in love with product. It suits my oily and dandruff prone skin perfectly. I would recommend to use shampoo with conditioner. conditioner makes hair smooth and easy to comb.

If you have dry itchy scalp, or have experienced an allergic reaction to something causing scalp irritation? These products are for you!! I have been dealing with a sore dry itchy scalp for months it made my hair hurt lol but after one application of these 2 products everything went away totally. No itching no sores just clean hair and calm scalp. I’m so happy. Grateful for these products.
