A New York Times bestseller! The Sandman is the universally lauded masterwork following Morpheus, Lord of the Dreaming—a vast hallucinatory landscape housing all the dreams of any and everyone who's ever existed. Regardless of cultures or historical eras, all dreamers visit Morpheus' realm—be they gods, demons, muses, mythical creatures, or simply humans who teach Morpheus some surprising lessons. In this epic tale, Delirium, youngest of the Endless, prevails upon the Sandman to help her find their errant brother, Destruction. But their quest will lead to a painful reunion between Morpheus and his son, Orpheus. Then, the Sandman and others are trapped in a mysterious inn while a tempest rages—and all they can do to while away the time is tell the stories of their lives. And when a young woman's baby is stolen, she turns to The Kindly Ones for vengeance—only to set off a series of events that will lead the Sandman to his ultimate fate, and the baby to find a destiny no one could have foretold. This massive hardcover tome, over 1000 pages, collects the final 38 issues of Neil Gaiman's groundbreaking series. Collects The Sandman #38-75 plus stories from Vertigo Jam #1 and Vertigo: Winter's Edge #3. Review: Superb - On the lookout for complete Sandman collections, I was undecided about buying the slip-cased paperback boxset or the premium Absolute editions, but then I realised that for less money (a LOT less in the case of the Absolutes) I could actually get these leather-bound omnibus beasts. I think it's safe to say that I made the right choice! The two volumes are heavy but pleasingly so, both beautiful to look at and hold: genuinely admirable books that, content aside, are works of art in themselves. You'll really feel as though your money was spent on something substantial that will last, hopefully, for a lifetime. The comics? Well, of course they're great. Enough said. Get them before they sell out - or you'll regret it! Review: Well worth the price - There is no need to speak of Sandman as a series-only to say it has done more to develop the Graphic Novel (VS comic book) as a genre than any other work. Regarding this edition-there is no doubt this is a high-quality book, with thick paper and strong colors. Well worth it for any fan-and a great basis if you're only now joining the club...

SANDMAN FANS MUST-HAVE THIS PRODUCT!
Best comic omnibus I've ever had. And for £50 an absolute steal! The quality of the exterior is brilliant, and holds the huge amount of pages really well.

Bought as a gift
For my other half who loves this series of comics (call me old fashioned but not ready to buy into "graphic novel" just yet!). Anyway she loves it, though thought it's quote heavy to hold for long periods.

If you have the spare cash this is well worth buying.
Please note that this volume does not come with a slip case as Volume One did. Otherwise, everything is fine: delivery was early, condition is excellent.

Another for the sandman collection
Fantastic stories collected for the back half of the Sandman series run. Unlike the annotated version this a fantastic collection of the remainder of the series for fans of the comic book series from the 1990's who may of missed an issue or two within their collection. Thus allowing them to read the complete series and see everything that happened leading up to the conclusion of the Sandman series at issue 75. For those that are looking for a more in depth examination of the series and the individual issues that annotated hard covers may be the way to go for you then. They are currently on the third in that series and still have 2-3 more to go before they have the entire series completed in an annotated format.

Love the larger format and the new colour palette
I own the smaller 10-volume series from 1993, and I love it for the set's handiness and original colour palette, which I find 'edgier' and with more character. However, the smaller format/words is slowly getting in the way of my enjoyment, as I am not getting any younger. That's where this new omnibus volume comes in! The larger format is definitely a welcome relief, and I like the more naturalistic new colour palette. Only complaint is the heftiness, which I overcame with a good book stand for large books. I like the addition of some new stories not originally found in the 1993 10-volume series. I have not bought Vol III of this omnibus series, as I mostly just like the original stories, and having bought some of the comics contained in Vol III, I think I can do without that volume, and save my money/shelf space for something else.

The Perfect Presentation For Gaiman's Entrancing Art
I've been waiting for something just like this, since I picked up my very first Sandman Issue1, back in college in the 90's! ONE issue had me hooked! This set is bound SO beautifully! They will look stunning in my library, but could easily look perfect on the shelves at say the National Archives! I haven't opened them yet, because I'll admit I'm intimidated! All 3 of them are SO BIG, and i know i face one of 2 realities: either A) I sit up for the next 10 days straight, without eating, drinking, or going to the bathroom, until my system goes into shock; OR, I spend the next 5 years just reading a few pages at a time, so I can savor it longer! This is a FANTASTIC set, the BEST graphic novel omnibus I've ever seen
