Product Description ------------------- In Mario's debut on the Game Boy Advance platform, the swashbuckling plumber goes back to what he knows best: side-scrolling adventure. Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad wander this richly coloured fantasy land to fight new and original enemies by collecting items to throw at them (alas, that famous jump attack isn't enough to dissuade these foes). Players are allowed to choose which character they'll play as--you can even switch between levels--and each in the cast has different strengths. For example, Luigi can jump higher than his brother, Mario, but the plumber is faster. Super Mario Advance also has a multiplayer game where up to four Game Boy Advance units can be linked together via the separately sold communication cable for friendly battles with Koopa shells for collectable coins. .co.uk Review ------------- If you were looking for a character to associate with Nintendo and the Game Boy, the likelihood is that today you'd say Pokémon--but that hasn't always been the case, and in Super Mario Advance Mario, the once king of Nintendo, is making a comeback on the next-generation Game Boy Advance. Based on the age-old formula of the Super Mario Brothers series, you play the usual host of characters from Mario himself to Princess Peach and even the little mushroom guy. The basic premise is fairly simple: run along the simple platforms, kill the bugs and monsters in your path, and get to the end. It's a game that's very easy to understand, yet not one that's easy to complete, and, like so many games before it, makes you want to come back for more every time. And with over 30 odd levels, it's sure to keep you busy for that time. A great title for all ages, Mario will please grown-ups and children alike as they enjoy the cute graphics and the catchy soundtrack.
