Can I prepare almond granola bars using this item? Or will it be too big?

I would say yes. Each compartment only measures 1inch x 3inches. If you prefer cms then its 2.5cm x 8cm they are 3cm deep but obviously on make granola bars as thick as you want them. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Could this be used for Millionaires Shortbread?

This tin is exceptionally high class, and the non-stickability of it is excellent. I make individual chocolate muffins in it, and the other day, I made individual chocolate cheesecakes, with a biscuit base. I always place the tin on a tray, just in case of any leakage. Sometimes, I get a little butter oozing out, but this is probably unavoidable. I think Millionaires Shortbread would be great done in this tin. I love this tin, and actually bought two, but gave one to my sister. Will have to get myself another. Great for "Cake Days". Hope this answers your question. Let me know how you get on.

Does cooking time and temperature change for the 12 individual rectangle from 8ins loaf tinfrom ordinary loaf tin

I have only cooked individual sponge cakes in this, and it eemed to taked about 35 minutes, whereas a loaf tin takes roughly an hour. I think it is a case of trial and error by checking as you go.

Are there any cases that fit in this?

Yes. There are a couple on Amazon, but I got some from a baking website. Also, I made mini lemon loafs in this without cases, and they popped out a treat; it’s very non stick!
