Product Description ------------------- Drawing on Astell&Kern’s technical expertise, the KANN combines a high-quality audio player and a high-performance amplifier and provides a new power standard for mobile music performance. KANN supports the output of 7Vrms when connected via high-gain balanced output. It drives high-impedance headphones without an additional amplifier, but also reliably reproduces high-quality sound with low-impedance speakers. Equipped with a line-out circuit designed to set the output values in 4 levels, depending on the user’s listening preference, the KANN is a significant step up from previous products which did not provide output/volume control. With the power to deliver perfect original sound, this product delivers detailed, distortion-free sound, just as the artist intended. It’s capable of bit-to-bit playback up to 32bit 384kHz and native DSD playback up to 11.2MHz. Astell&Kern’s 2.5mm 4-pole balanced outputs (2Vrms) is also supported. For flexibility, the KANN can be connected to additional USB Audio via micro-USB. It allows output conversion according to the specifications of the external USB Audio that supports DoP (DSD over PCM) or PCM. Continuous music playback is provided by charging via Type-C USB while connected to the external USB Audio. When connected to PC as a USB DAC, KANN produces richer sounds with resolution far beyond that of a PC sound card. Supporting both standard (max. 512GB) and micro SD (max. 256GB) cards, the internal 64GB memory can be expanded up to 768GB to easily handle large audio files. The large capacity 6200mA battery offers up to 15 hours continuous playback (based on 16-bit/44 kHz, FLAC file format, screen off, 50 of volume, and normal playback).
