The result is a level of protection that is minimally affected by sweat, swimming or even showering (without soap). To ensure full protection from your sunscreen, apply 20 to 30 minutes before going out into the sun. This allows time for the sunscreen to form a protective film on the skin. If the skin does not burn, it tans more slowly without blistering and peeling, meaning your tan will last longer. The higher the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) number, the better the protection.
