Best clippers EVAH!
I have never written a product review for Amazon before but having just had these clippers delivered to my desk at work, I found the urge to try them out impossible to resist. Top marks for the packaging, which was a hassle free plastic box. But the packaging was merely a hint of what was to come. Although mine are the toenail clippers, I thought it inappropriate to shed my shoes and socks and clip away at my toenails, even though they have worked themselves into a foot-borne manifestation of Be'elzebub's horns and, therefore, sorely need a trim (hence the purchase). I settled instead for the uncouth but not grossly inappropriate option of trimming a thumb nail. Afterall, I thought, it is the closest nail to a toenail. *clip* WOW! Like a hot knife through butter. Well, actually not quite because the cold butter cools down the knife quite quickly meaning that before long you hit some resistance, fat having a higher specific heat capacity than metal. Oh no, these just snip through the nail mercilessly; not stopping until one blade hits another. You think it's done its job now? *clip* *clip* *clip* *clip* *clip* ...ad finitum. Wrong! After cutting through your pathetically (in their mind) thin nail, the two clipper blades converge in a sligthly offset closed position. What? I hear you ask. What is this guy on about? What I am on about is that the blades sharpen themselves each time they clip through a nail. They never go blunt. Remarkable. Ninja grade clippers of the standard I have come to expect from our Japanese brothers, those inhabitants of the mysterious island, that Asian bastion of high-quality engineering. Now, at £13 you may find these clippers a bit spenny but if you are a proponent of the philosophy that you get what you pay for then I would argue that, to the contrary, they are cheap. Indeed by not spending this much money on clippers you risk tangling yourself in a poverty trap. With your nails trimmed by a pair of Seki edge clippers, you can acheive anything. You have to spend money to make money. I know what I am getting everyone for Christmas this year.

Good strong clipper
Item arrived when expected and as described. I bought this to clip my toe nails and they do a very good job. Its a strong firm action with no flex at all so cutting tough or thick nails is no problem.

Very good clippers
Nice and sharp, immediate delivery... Very happy with them, but somehow was expecting something very special indeed... These are very good clippers and they will catch the vast majority of clipped nails, but don't go thinking they will change your life. For that reason they come up short with four stars. To be honest, I find they are better at catching finger nails than toenails, because the clipper is angled up from below the nail, rather than down from above - gravity means they'll out if clipper is above the nail... Will usually catch a nail if it tries to fire off sideways though :-)

They Work!
I have very recently received these and chose them after reading the positive Amazon reviews. To give you some background I have never used clippers before but have used Tweezerman scissors for many many years (and highly recommended they are too). Problem is that I have recently developed a rather vigorous form of arthritis in my right hand and I can no longer use scissors as the scissor movement is too painful. My toenails had grown unacceptably long (I have always taken care of my nails as second nature). The choice was to see a chiropodist at £35 a pop simply to cut my nails or choose a different route. I chose to give these a shot. At first I was a bit nervous about using them as they surely seem very strong but much easier for me to handle than scissors. They took me a bit of getting used to, but now feel confident in using the clippers. They have the added advantage of having a nailfile attached and I have used this after clipping. Nails are now looking fine. As I have said I can't comment on other makes, but these work just fine.

Buy Quality, Buy Once
You know the story, you usually buy a cheap nail cutter from any store when the last one is either lost, loses it's edge and twists when you use it or just snaps. The problem is, at that moment, you NEED the nail cutter! With a Seki Edge, you won't have to worry again. I've tried a similar high end german made nail cutter - it was very german - efficient but cold and unforgiving. This is made in japan, and the quality shows. The cut is precise, assured and clean, but without the soul-less feel. Never had a nail cutter made me look forward to the next cut, until I used the real made in japan cutters. Can't go wrong with a Seki Edge.

Great clippers
These are without a doubt the best nail clippers I have ever had. They are very sharp so much so that a little extra care is needed not to cut flesh but that is a user problem not the item. It does collect most of the clippings and the file is a nice touch but I only use this on fingernails. Something that is not claimed and it may only be me but I find these better to hold and operate than some other clippers. I have some arthritis in my hand and fingers so gripping small things like clippers is sometimes difficult but not with these possibly because they are more substantial than some others. All in all worth the cost and highly recommended.

Quality product
These clippers are great. They make light work of the toughest nails. If you have very wide toenails then the 15mm wide cutting surface maybe a tads small for you. They have a nice weight and feel about them, and the clippings catcher sort of works. The file on the underside is positioned badly in my opinion, as it makes the use of it somewhat awkward. However, I purchased Seki EDGE for the clippers, not the extras, hence my 5 star rating. £[] my seem rich for something you can pick up for a couple of quid in any high st, but a lifetime guarantee and the edge on the blades is worth spending on.

Don't waste your money on any other clipper.
Hands down the best clipper on the market. Made in Japan. The cutting edge is sharp so it's effortless to cut and stays sharp, forever. I had this same clipper 20yrs ago. It stayed sharp all these years until I lost it when I moved, so I got this new one. The file never degrades and is made of metal micro dots, not your typical file with slits. Best of all the plastic casing contains all the clippings. I have tried the smaller size but decided on getting the this bigger one since it covers more cutting area for big toes and thumb nails.
