Liked this. I can a lot of food and new hybrid tomatoes are not as high in acid as the older heirloom varieties. I like to be sure about the pH level in my tomatoes so I can be sure they are going to be free of pathogens. I figured at the price the pH meter would perform so-so. But it worked great. Comparing the meter to the litmus strip the meter was on the mark every time. I even asked to borrow a much more expensive model from work and compared it to the Yinmik. It does feel light in the hand, and I fear dropping the thing. I am sure it would survive but it is just a feeling thing not a real judgment.

Unfortunately, I had to return this one. Once I used it, no matter how much I cleaned it and dried it off, it would not return to 0000, and it would chaotically read different pH levels when not inserted into anything. This one also came with powdered solutions you must mix into distilled water to calibrate. However, it did not come with any storage solution, which you need to maintain the electrode spear. Inside the protective cap, there is a sponge that needs to be slightly moist. If that sponge dries out, it will damage the electrode spear (and the sponge was dry on the protective cap on the one I received — the replacement one was moist, though). It does come with an extra electrode spear replacement; however, both the one it came with and the replacement would never return to 0000 after being used and cleaned, no matter what. I bought a different spear pH tester and have had no problems with it after cleaning it, unlike this one. So I'm not sure if the seal around the electrode on this brand isn't good or if I just got one with both electrodes being faulty.
