Would the headset and waistband fit an 8 year old? I'm worried they might be too big, even though they are adjustable.

I see that the usb end plugs into amplifier but what does the other end of the charging cable plug into in order to charge?

You can use the USB charging cable to plug into a charging head, or you can plug the other end of the charging cable into an outlet with a USB port.

Terrible interference noise! First test I ran: mic. on head, speaker hanging on the back of my pants. Anyone else had this issue?

You have to wear it in the front, and not be near any other mic, or any other amplifier to not get interference. That is what I do and I don't have any problems.

How sensitive is the mic? Does it need to be angled specifically?

The mic is sensitive if you near other mics, make sure that you are in a place where the mic won't make sqeeling noise.
