Excellent night time video. Unlike others (I've tried two others) 1080p rear cameras which show blurry and grainy images. Excellent day time video.

Bought to add to my dash cam to add rear view. The quality during day is fantastic and it was easy to install, though I did not use the bracket supplied as did not want to screw into the car. Instead I used double sided tape. Holds firm. Night is good, but not excellent, I do get staring from head lights which does make it hard to see, but turn down the brightness of the viewer and all is ok. Watching back on the PC it shows the camera is actually better than viewed via the dashcam, so most importantnly the recorded footage is better than experienced viewed in car.

Good fast delivery, the cameras are the updated WDR for Wolfbox G900. Have yet to replace the original rear camera but after reading the reviews stating they give better vision at night I decided give it a try as when another car behind me with headlights on gives a blurred picture with the original camera. Have to wait for results.

Had to return unfortunately no better than rear view camera that came with kit. Blurred screen with all lights even led street lights car lights even during the day

Bought this to replace another camera (same manufacturer) that after two years had failed due to water ingress. This one seems a bit better built. Also nicer as it is all black. Easy to fit with the very strong adhesive pads. Price when bought was fair compared to others. The camera works absolutely fine. My own criticism is that I think the colours are a bit too colourful. So the greens and reds for example, look exaggerated.

It has great clarity during the day. You can see the license plate of the car behind you. Night time vision is excellent. I can see more detail in the camera at night than in the mirrors. The clarity does suffer a bit though. Can’t see license plates at night with car headlights. Recommend mounting higher on the vehicle out of other cars headlight beam so they don’t completely blind the camera. I do really like this camera and wolfbox mirror. Unfortunately this camera stopped working after 11 months. When the dashcam turns on, this rear camera works for a few minutes, then the image freezes. After rebooting the dashcam, it displays a black image. Sometimes I get the “ no rear camera connected” message on the dashcam. Eventually didn’t work at all. I reached out to the manufacturer directly via their website. They replaced it under warranty with no hassle. The product is great and customer service excellent too.

Really good quality and customer service. I have been using the dashcam in 50C heat in Dubai and it is still perfectly fine.. Night vision is great and very sharp image quality. Waiting for the new model to upgrade.

I admit, I was skeptical, and I was pretty happy overall with the camera bundled with my G840S. I wasn't sure what, exactly, I'd be getting for the forty bucks. I'm so glad I spent them. Seriously. First, this camera has dramatically improved glare reduction over the stock camera. At night, headlights resolve more neatly, instead of becoming pools of smeary, indistinct white light. I had no problem knowing there was a car behind me with the stock camera, but the combination of better glare mitigation and much faster white balance correction as lighting changes meant that the video capture produced useful images with less of a recalibration delay, at night. If I ever need a clear image from a half-second flyby behind me on the recorder log, this camera is much more likely to deliver it than the stock one, for that reason alone. Again, the stock camera wasn't "bad," really -- just average. This one's much, much nicer. It offers a wider field of vision, too -- and yes, that means a little fisheye effect at the extreme edges. That would be annoying, if not that this is a backup camera, and that translates to even better peripheral vision coverage. I've caught people in the parking lot waiting behind and to the side of my car that I couldn't see with the stock camera -- well out of my way, yes, so they weren't safety hazards, but being able to see them at all is a testament to the improved field of vision the upgraded camera offers. White balance and dynamic range are nicer, too, but I really only notice the difference at night. The stock camera was more than adequate during the day, and while this one's a step up, you really feel the difference more at night than in the day. Installation was a snap, as it uses the same connector as the stock camera. Unplug old, plug in new -- I believe it even mounted to the original mounting bracket, identically. If you're basically content but not thoroughly delighted with the stock G840S camera's quality, yes, definitely, buy this one. You'll be glad you did, and I'm pretty confident you'll find it a significant step up from the stock camera. It elevated the quality of my G840S to the next level, and I'm very, very happy with it.
