Live In Prague

Hans Zimmer Live in Prague - great music, great show and played on a sound system - a great sound. I recommend for people who like film soundtracks.

There was obviously a great deal of thought gone into the presentation of this concert. The audio is studio quality and absolutely superb. Seventy two musicians and singers make a very big noise, and getting the balance right was "spot on". The individual players are the best in their field as picked by Hans. (Nice to see Johnny Marr doing his bit) The whole concert is also enhanced by an excellent light show. This DVD is not for playing on your tv, but through your hi-fi set up, a must to appreciate the quality of the recording. Highly recommended.

Well, what can I say, Hans Zimmer, you have done it again. What I love about his film compositions is the amount of variety between them, yet they all have the ability to give you goosebump after goosebump, and this live version is no different. Firstly, the audio quality itself which is absolutely incredible and everything you would expect. The depth in the instruments is incredible, and the quality is fantastic, great depth, highs, lows and no quality loss which you might expect from something recorded in a massive auditorium. Secondly, the track choices. As a big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy and Interstellar, I was thrilled by the choices that were made to be played in this live tour. If anything, it takes them to a whole new level. Studio recordings can be extremely crisp, but lack the atmosphere which this makes up for. In particular, the Pirates of the Caribbean medley is my favorite and could listen to it all day long. Mentions also to The Lion King, in which Hans has brought together not just the soundscape behind the film, but also some of the most incredible singing to go with it I have heard. I've yet to get through all of the tracks, but this is a must buy if you are a fan of any of the movies or simply a fan of Hans and movie compositions in general. It is a complete masterclass and well worth the price.

Quality of DVD is excellent. Probably the best concert performance by Hans Zimmer of his work and well worth watching especially if you have had the opportunity to attend one of his more recent concerts which are drifting into self indulgence and not as exciting as his earlier works.

Great compilation. Way above average for a live recording. Retained a lot of details, just slightly bright especially with the cymbals & violins without sounding thrashy when volume up around 85- 90db. I missed out of his pre sell-out performance in Aus 2025 so this is the next best thing
