Care Touch Ketone Testing Kit - Ketone Meter w Strip Ejection, 10 Ketone Blood Test Strips, 10 Lancets, Lancing Device, Carrying Case

I went back and forth for a while before buying a ketone blood test kit because of the cost of the strips, but this one was cheap enough to get me to pull the trigger. My wife and I have been using it for a couple of weeks and it has offered excellent insight into our progress with our keto dieting. Specifically I wanted to see how fast we bounce back from cheat days, how alcohol affects ketosis, etc., and this meter has ban stellar. I didnt bother with control solution. I figured that is an unnecessary technicality for a medical device, and have seen nothing to indicate inaccuracies in testing. I’ve used urine strips along side as well, but the blood seems much more accurate from what i would expect to see at any given time. Five stars for a great product at a reasonable price.

Really disappointed. Been on a ketogenic lifestyle for about 8 months, decided to order a ketone monitor. Since the 'top brand' one was on backorder-now I understand WHY I should have waited- I ordered this one. The control solution is just the start of the problems. Tested my ketones MANY times, I have only had one actual reading from the monitor. Every other measurement gives me ERROR codes, using new test strips appropriately. I tried to call the customer service number. Now, I have worked for many companies in my 43 years. Every single business I work for, when you answer the phone you greet with "Company X, how can I help you". Not here, people just pick up the phone and say their name. Nobody has even actually MENTIONED a company name on the phone. When I called, I was transferred no less than 5 times and ultimately got hung up on. Then I tried searching a website- THERE IS NONE. I suspect this company is a SHAM, and this product is JUNK.

Pursuing my health on a deeper level. i.e. cellular, blood, etc.Wanting to make sure that I give my body the very best I can and understand what foods and beverages have which impact on me.I'm doing Whole 30 right now before I make the transition to the Keto Lifestyle.I'm very excited and wanted to be able to test my sugar when I have a migraine, feeling lethargic, depressed, etc. so that I could have a more thorough understanding of what is happening in m body.I felt like it would be a tool that would strengthen my resolve!It's easy to use and keeps track of the last 1,000 test results.I'll continue to update as I pursue my health after my second battle with cancer.Best wishes and health to all who've read this! -Mary

I’ve been doing the Keto diet since March, so naturally I wanted to test my ketone levels in the best way possible. I’ve tried the urine strips, but note— after some time they become inaccurate. So this was a go to move for me.I’ve used a similar device before, curiously testing my glucose level. But I’ve never had one of my own. So getting this set was a no brainer. Upon arrival I was pretty excited about just how wonderful everything is organized in a new little carry-case. But testing, was a struggle all on its own.The first four strips I put in failed. I kept on receiving error messages. I ended up puncturing 5 fingers before getting an accurate reading.A few days passed and I decided to test again. Same issue. Two more of my strips wasted with error messages.The pattern of errors continued every time I tried to test. I am now already out of strips. These errors aren’t due to my wrongdoing. I’m assuming something is up with the included strips? I’ll be ordering more and plan on updating my review when I try the new ones out.I just want to say I wanted to love this product, but ultimately I was disappointed by how many strips were wasted.

I bought another blood glucose monitor from CVS and I can definitely tell the difference in quality. This machine as well as the lancing device is much better QUALITY. I was wondering why my blood glucose readings were so high with the other machine when I've kept my carb intake so low. But with machine they seemed so much more . ACCURATE . I've tested my ketone levels as well which seem accurate but I have no baseline. It is very simple to use, although I did watch an instrutional video . The test strips are by far less expensive than any other dual tester so I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Well that just stinks. I tried the very first strip according to the instructions (calibrating it and all) and it worked just fine. I just tried to do a second test after working out to see if my ketone levels changed at all. I tried to do it with 3 additional strips and all of them read "EF" which is an error means that the test strip was taken out of the device or something (which it wasn't)--I also looked at the directions and calibrated the device each time with the strip they provided in the kit, still no results. AND on top of you can't reinsert the test strip because you'll get another error message that says "EU" which means it won't read an already read test strip. These test strips are expensive!! I don't want to have to waste 3 or 4 to get one reading. I gave up and will probably return this. Either the test strips are fault, or the device is faulty.
