The Super Mario Bros. Movie - Power Up Edition [DVD]

This was a great family movie. For the adults who remember the Nitendo game and for my son who saw the trailers and wanted to watch. We borrowed this movie from our local library and have watched on streaming services a few times before we decided it was a good investment. My son requests to watch this movie often and the rest of us, don't mind watching it again. Good quailty. Entertaining.

Our kids love this movie so much we decided to buy it on DVD so we could watch it on long car rides too.

I thought it was a great movie, my niece she loved it

My son first saw this movie at 3 years old, and now at 6, he loves it just as much, if not more! We just bought this movie for our DVD player in the car, at my son’s insistence. Our whole family enjoys this movie, including my 4 year old son and my husband. It’s wholesome, entertaining, and nostalgic for adults who grew up loving the Mario characters (like my husband, whose personal favorite is Donkey Kong). Thanks to how much he enjoyed this movie, my son is now eagerly awaiting the premiere of Mario Galaxy. This movie is clean and appropriate fun for the whole family!

Since this film keeps moving from one streaming network to another, I decided to just buy the damn thing. My son loves it. I enjoyed it plenty the first 100 times that I saw it with him. The voice acting is great (huge hat tip to Jack Black!) I grew up on Mario back in the 80s and 90s, and I always appreciated the whimsical worlds that Nintendo has managed to create. This movie did a great job bring it to life even more!

Highly recommended! An enjoyable movie to watch with the family! Filled with laughter, mixed with a lively adventure! Dvd came in pristine condition! Greatly appreciated! 🎉

resumen: una película visualmente espectacular, pero con una historia demasiado simple , 6/10. Es la primera vez que veo la película. Visualmente se ve hermosa: la iluminación, los escenarios y los personajes están muy bien trabajados. En calidad visual para mí es un 9/10. Donde sí se queda corta, en mi opinión, es en la historia. No termina de atraparte por completo y se siente bastante simple 4.5/10. Aun así, al ser una película infantil cumple con llamar la atención gracias a la gran cantidad de colores y el ritmo rápido. También tiene un toque nostálgico, aunque personalmente sentí que pudieron agregar más referencias, más música y más sonidos clásicos que hicieran que se sintiera todavía más como un verdadero tributo a Mario.

Completamente satisfecha, y desde el día de la llegada de mi pedido de las compras por el Black Friday como regalos de Navidad en 2024, aunque si bien la peli de Mario no me llegó con su respectivo slipcover, pero fuera de este detalle la película me llegó muy bien en tiempo y forma, siendo esta edición de colección tanto con el disco Blu-ray como con el DVD de la película, y por suerte además del material extra que tiene y de la peli que si trae los 3 idiomas inglés, francés y el doblaje en español latino, tanto el disco Blu-ray como el DVD de la película en región 1 sí se miran muy bien tanto en los extras como en la película misma. En cuanto a la película, me pareció una película fantástica, de las mejores películas basadas en videojuegos de los últimos años (junto a las de Sonic) y también una de las mejores películas animadas de Universal y de Illumination Studios, con un balance entre momentos divertidos, algunos emotivos en referencia a la hermandad de Mario y Luigi, y hasta en las increíbles escenas a lo largo de la trama que nos ofrece la película, sea que seas fan de Mario, de los videojuegos o no, puede llegar a ser de nuestro agrado. Siendo una película que pedí como regalo de Navidad y me encantó mucho.
