It will also slip easily into pocket or bag, making it handy to keep with you always. At only 10mm thick and 47g (it uses less plastic than an ice-cream tub!), Plinth has been carefully engineered for your MOBILE lifestyle. Different - by Design iPad to Surface Pro Even large tablets are held steady on the Plinth, and you can use it with your favourite case or cover! 5 Angles, not 3 Carefully researched positions enable comfortable working wherever you are. Perfect in the Kitchen too Plinth will also hold recipe books, sheet music, college notes - all sorts of things. Easy to keep with you Plinth was designed to be handy - it slips easily into pocket or bag. Engineered without compromise By using a special manufacturing process, soft rubber pads are permanently bonded to minimum thickness rigid parts, to provide non-slip protection without compromising strength or performance. Plinth is made in the UK, and guaranteed for life. Dragons' Den When Plinth appeared on Dragons' Den in 2016, Peter Jones was kind enough to say "I think the product is exceptional. I've not seen anything as well designed with the intricacies that you've got, and the level of design that has gone into that. I don't think I've seen many things as good." (They didn't invest, but hey....) Review: Tiny, quirky, indispensible bit of kit. - This is the second Plinth I have bought. The first one - which I bought many years ago when they first came on the market - is still going strong. I wanted another one to live with a second iDevice I take everywhere. It is incredibly light and compact, and folds up to almost nothing. It is also very stable indeed, and once you get used to the many ways of adjusting the viewing angle you will certainly find one that is ideal for you. It sometimes needs a little gentle coaxing to fold and unfold, but it soon becomes second nature. Thoroughly recommended, and 100 percent British. Review: Literally the best of what's around - This is without doubt one of the best tablet stands you can buy anywhere in the world right now. It fits every shape of tablet, can also hold your mobile phone, and I have even used it as a book/paper stand when working at my computer. It's seriously light, compact and easy to use and gathers all sorts of interested and envious looks when used in public! I have three of my own - one is permanently in my laptop bag, another is at work and my last is at home. I've ordered at least a dozen of them for gifts, and they are always very happily received. What's more, by buying this you are supporting a true British entrepreneur (John Bull) who came up with this design and battled his way through Kickstarter and various hurdles in order to bring this brilliant bit of design to the market. I'm proud to say I backed him from the start, and I'm so thrilled that it's now so quick and easy to order on desertcart. Grab it now - you won't be disappointed!

Great product, just a tiny bit of teething trouble
I do love this product. Honestly I do. It’s light, strong, compact and versatile. I can carry it round with me and use it for typing on my iPad (I’m doing that now, by the way!), read my Kindle or prop my phone on it. I also use it during music practice with my iPad held securely in portrait format on a table top. My only gripe is that the side “wings” rarely stay in place. They’re difficult to get back in without several attempts and when I do close it up successfully and put it in my bag, I delve into my bag later to find that the wings have opened again. Teething trouble, or just a bad example?

This works!
This is a brilliant little device - it seems rather fragile when you first use it, but I think that's because it's so lightweight, and it's actually surprisingly robust. I have a detachable keyboard case for my iPad, but I don't use it all the time as it adds too much weight. This is a good substitute for when I'm just sitting at the table eating my breakfast and having an idle browse. I like that it allows you to have different angles and works equally well in portrait and landscape. Most of all, I like that when I dropped it this morning in its 'deployed' state, one part did ping off - but with no effort at all, I was able to put it back together, good as new! So it seems to me that it's a resilient wee device. I like it a lot!

Good product, even though the Dragons didn't invest
I ordered this after seeing it on Dragons Den on TV. The Dragons didn't go for it but I think it is useful - very light (really light) it folds to a convenient small package. The folding "wings" don't seem to be very robust - they pop open sometimes, but the thing is that this device will support your phone or table, or kindle etc. It may not be a business investment opportunity for the Dragons, but it is a useful product.

Works well and stylish too.
I've owned two iPad supports with built in keyboards, but they both failed in different ways, so I thought I'd get an Apple keyboard and some kind of stand. The keyboard is much better than the previous Bluetooth devices, unsurprisingly, and I got it from the Amazon Warehouse so it wasn't too expensive. I've been supporting the iPad on an old Fellowes book support, which costs about 💷7 (can't find the Pound sign on this keyboard!) and it is fine, if rather bulky. So I thought I'd give the Plinth a go and first impressions are very good indeed. Nice and origami-ish to open, very light and compact and the iPad seems stable enough. I think it's worth the dosh. Now, to work out how to get this keyboard to give me a Pound sign.

A great stand for your smart phone or tablet
I received this item a lot earlier then originally advised. I have used it with both my iPad Air and iPhone six plus. It opens and closes with ease. supports the equipment soundly, I am not worried it will fall over or slip off. The iPad has a folding case and the iPhone has a hard case both rest on the plinth without a problem without having to remove them from their respective cases. While the Plinth is smaller then the iPhone when folded up I am not sure I would put in in my back pocket but nor would I put my phone there either. Overall a solid construction, lightweight, easy to carry, stable and easy to close and open. I thoroughly recommend. It's nice to see a British company making a great item.

Almost indispensable - but could benefit from being more visible!
The Plinth is small and handy to have around. About the size of a credit card or a small mobile phone, and not quite as thick as a Penguin biscuit. Various shades of grey. Hard plastic - and very robust when closed up. I carry it around in the sleeve I use for my tablet, along with a Bluetooth keyboard. Along with the tablet, it makes for a compact and viable set-up and alternative to a laptop. Basically, you hold the Plinth in your hand and press the button on one narrow end, raising it at the same time with your finger. This releases the 'wings' on the side and drops the bottom, so you end up with a winged wedge. The wings have rubberised material to cushion your tablet or phone - and I have used it for both. It works well. The process of opening is a little fiddly - but, it's something you get used to. In the beginning you might think that it's broken because it doesn't open - but, it's more likely that you're not following the instructions and thus not doing it the right way. I have found the shape and structure works well, even with just a normal smartphone, whether portrait or landscape format. You can adjust the wedge to get the central 'island' higher, by adjusting a bit at the back. Indeed, it can be adjusted into something like three or four different heights. The highest would best suit use for watching movies or TV. The others, you can adjust depending on your personal arrangements when writing or use your device. Maybe you work standing, for example. I have used the Plinth with an old 10 inch Galaxy Tab, a tiny Moto G mobile and a couple of devices in between - like a Nexus tablet and a friends phablet. They all work perfectly well and sat easily in the rubberised wings. If I have a regret about this purpose, it would be that I didn't get in on the Kickstarter. The Kickstarter had colour schemes available other than the current dark grey. I could really do with one of the brighter ones, as I have a habit of leaving the Plinth somewhere and then losing it. I spent days trying to find it after a recent trip - I guess that's a downside of just how compact and portable it is! I have hopes that with success of the standard Plinth, the inventor - John Bull - will consider making some more colourful versions generally available. I'll be one of his first customers when that happens. White and green (or maybe white and orange) would be ideal for me. A final comment - I love the box the Plinth comes in. The design on that is incredibly well done, with a little slide out tab that provides immediate information on the little device. Very neat indeed.
